I am a giant fan of the series and to be honest I would not want a third season. The ending was just way to good and all the conflicts are resolved. There is no loose ends that need to be tied up. Besides if they did do a third season it would ruin it. Who would the main character be? Lelouch? Hes dead and even if rumors are true and he still is alive it would ruin all that hes worked for if the public knew he was still alive. I wouldn't mind a OVA , but a third season is out of the question.
Anyways as one of my favorite post on /a/ says.

God no, why would we need that? Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but there's not much to do with it given how it ended. I agree with LDK on this, it'd ruin it. The OVA is always a possibility.

You should check the sound episodes (if you haven't), I'm pretty sure there are translations somewhere on the internet; they are random and funny.Kyero Fox wrote:I would only except a SPecial episode or something, like some fun with the characters like Kallen Ohgi Milly yada yada.

Re: Would you like a Code Geass: Lelouch Of The Rebellion R3?
There will be no R3, the plans for R3 were scrapped and the plot had to be crunched up into 2-3 episodes. That would be the entire Lelouch vs Schneizel plot shrunk down to a battle between completely imbalanced Knightmare Frames and characters with a face and high status taken down in a second for the sake of showing how broken the Lancelot HAXbion is, only for it to be taken down by a mech of equal HAX from a few episodes ago. If anything they will release an OVA, which is most likely what they'll be doing.

Also, anyone who wants an R3 greatly missed the entire point of the anime and doesn't deserve to claim fandom.

I think .hack//links counts for that. Anyway how could they even think of a Code geass R3? There would be no point not even in an ova. Ok well if it tied up all the loose ends it might work.Kyero Fox wrote:eh, you're one to talk. everyone here prob pirates lots of ****.AuraTwilight wrote:Illegal is illegal. you know, as much as i loved the series, i thought it was too much too fast. and it was super concentrated into 2 short season. good seasons mind you, but i thought and i still think that a third season is not needed. if the series went at a much slower pace (and not so many deaths!) than, yes i would say do another season, but otherwise no.

Re: Would you like a Code Geass: Lelouch Of The Rebellion R3?
You know what forget my previous post (right above the this post). i got the season 1 part 1 set and i watched the episodes plusthe ones i had recorded on my tivo and im obessed over Code Geass! I mean i havent seen season 2, except for the ending (which i saw before i posted my original post) and now i am in love with the series! i am so sad that lelouch dies! and shirley dies too! since watching all of season one back to back and teh series finale i somewhat changed my opinion. i still think that it was too much too fast, but if they changed the ending and stuck with the original plans, than i would LOVE to see a R3. but if they kept the ending that they currently have, than no i dont think i would like to see another season, especially since all my favorite characers have passed. also i am still sad that alot of my favorite characters have died, i wish they didnt kill off so many people, but than again if they didnt, would it be as popular as it is right now? well that is just my opinion. i wish they didnt end it like they did and would have just made a third season and still not have killed off lelouch and shirley.. but is that just me?

Mind sharing with the rest of the class? Because you're talking about a very subjective topic here, and I'm sure various people with the same data came to different conclusions, especially since it's highly likely that Lelouch is alive. The ending was a good ending, the fact that Lelouch died just makes the show all the more meaningful. If you didn't understand why and wished it happened differently, then you missed the most important character development in the whole show.
Though I have to say, the only thing I want explained is what the deal was with Suzaku's Code-related dowsing ability he developed late-R1, since CC suspected that it WASN'T her mindrape that caused it, then didn't elaborate.

Re: Would you like a Code Geass: Lelouch Of The Rebellion R3?
You don't take into account the possibility that Lelouch might not have a choice, as it's very heavily suggested he inherited Charles' Code after killing him. It disappears BEFORE Charles dies, and due to the metaphysical laws of the show, it has to go to someone else who has a Geass. Furthermore, the Codes apparently work under Highlander rules, where a person remains normal until their first death, where they lose their Geass and then come back as the uber CC/VV type beings, and such revival can take anywhere between seconds to days, depending on injury and the will of the Code-bearer. If Lelouch didn't intend to live, it can take a while to reform. Then, the clinching part of the theory, is that Nunally had a weird mind-meld experience with Lelouch after touching him, something that only happens when touching a Code-bearer. The moral lesson even works, as what could be more painful a punishment for Lelouch's sins than having to live forever away from Nunally? He wouldn't have a choice. There's also a bittersweet tone of CC finally being loved in a genuine manner by someone she won't have to suffer heartbreak over.I've been back and forth with myself over Lelouch being alive or dead and I originally thought he was alive but now I tend to believe that he is dead. When Lelouch made his plan for Zero Requiem, he had no idea that Nunnally was alive. He had previously accepted his death at the hands of the Black Knights and even told Rolo he had no reason to live anymore. Even after that he was fine with living with Charles isolated from the world until he died, saying it's the same thing as being dead. After that he apparently promised Suzaku that he would be able to kill him, but only after he allowed the world to be able to move on to the future. That is why Lelouch freaked out and questioned his plan when he found out Nunnally was alive, because he now had a chance to live the life with her that he wanted again. However, that's when Suzaku told him that it didn't change the plan. The character development I'm talking about is Lelouch's decision to give up his happiness for the sake of the world, which he wouldn't have done at all anywhere near the start of the show. I'll admit that it is possible Lelouch is alive, but to me that makes Zero Requiem an act and Lelouch didn't change at all. Or, rather, he changed for the worse. Since he gave up what he wanted when he could have taken Nunnally with him and make everyone happy. If he lived that means he simply abandoned Nunnally, even if he thinks it was for the best, he would become exactly like Charles. At the end of a show, I'd rather believe the option that has the main character developing in a better way then becoming randomly worse.
Well, in regards to the Clovis thing, that was Charles using the Sword of Akasha to interact with the World of C, which is basically the afterlife. CC is just a l33t-telepath. Nunally is just extremely intuitive, and her blindness allows all her other perceptions to be KNOCK IT UP A NOTCH! BAM! I've seen real live blind people who could do that exact same ****, save for the very end with Lelouch, which was heavily implied to be Code magic. Either way, Nunally does not possess any supernatural powers. But either way, I would be fine with an OVA. Hell, I'd love an OVA, just glimpsing into the lives of the other characters in a comical manner. Maybe a character reunion to mourn the bittersweet fact of, "It's been one year since the death of Lelouch vi Brittania." Also, at the end, you could totally have Suzaku's ESP nonsense wig out and turn to a disguised couple implied to be CC and Lelouch, with CC maybe commenting to the other that Suzaku might be joining them to see the passage of time, insinuating that Suzaku just naturally carries whatever gene causes Code to turn up in people in the first place.Yeah, it really annoyed me when CC was acting strangely with Suzaku right before the Euphie incident. I forgot all about that but after recently watching the dub I realized nothing was done with that at all. But she seemed to recognize something was different about him and was about to ask him if he was something but never got the chance to finish. That IS the main thing I want to know that was never touched upon. There are other things as well, though. CC could talk to Marianne because of the link between her Geass and her Code. Yet early on in the first season Charles was shown apparently talking to Clovis after his death (although I might have missed some revelation there regarding the World of C, I haven't gone back and re-watched those episodes of R2 yet). Then there is Nunnally's apparent ability to see the true intentions or feelings or vague memories of people. If Lelouch is alive then this could not even exist, but she was able to tell someone was lying by touching their hand and then was trying to touch Suzaku's hand when he was talking. That would play into the ending if Lelouch did die, since it would explain why she was able to realize his true intentions. But, as I said, the ending was a good ending to the main story of Code Geass. I am perfectly happy with it and anymore Code Geass would just be overkill. Even if they had intended to make another season before they wrote this ending, it would have made the show too long in my eyes. Although it might have been good, I tend to believe in getting out while you are on top. 50 episodes is long enough.
