I agreed, Tomoyo and Kyou got jipped, but they were kinda boring characters anyway, in my opinion. Also, Ryou technically hasn't even had her arc dealt with yet. She's a supporting character, like Sunohara.

Ah After Story~ I'm absolutely loving it right now. XD The first season was really "meh..." to me... especially since I didn't really like the ending. After Story seems to be redeeming that though since I loved that last 2 episodes. Sunohara actually made me want an older brother now. D: (Even though he's a pretty big jerk... sorta.) Anyway, I hope the series keeps up the good work. I'm just really waiting for them to get in depth with Nagisa.

I agree that they are not nearly as interesting as Fuko, Kotomi, or Nagisa. But I like Kyou personally, and would like to see more of her in the show. Tomoyo is decent as well, but she got her own alternate universe OVA, so I'm fine with them not doing much with her.

1) I can never really empathize with Kyou and Ryou because they and Kagami/Tsukasa from Lucky Star are clones of each other in the most blatant way. I know Kyou/Ryou came first, but I'll never be able to break the association.

2) That OVA was BORING. AS. F*CK.

Actually, I didn't even know Ryou would have her own arc, I thought it was just like the first bit of Kyou's arc. Which it seemed like they were going to do, but then ended it randomly with some crying and acceptance. But I really have no idea what either Kyou or Ryou's arc was like in the game so I was looking forward to it. As long as they get some sort of focus for an episode or two in After Story I will be happy though. I'm guessing it will go over all the supporting character's first, but will there be more mini resolution arcs for the main characters as well?

Speaking of Sunohara, I was rather glad to see him in an actual role as opposed to some comic relief once in awhile. Not that I don't like his comic relief, it's great, but this was nice to see as well.

It would benefit you to play the game. EVERY CHARACTER, no matter how minor, gets an arc.

Ditto. Their pacing with Nagisa is stunning, to say the least, and makes up for the shortcoming in the other areas. I have to say of all the "main girls" in the Key Anime, she's been the most well-handled. Though, personally, I think it would've been better if Fuko's arc was pushed closer to the end, simply for the sake of narrative. We get this big supernatural arc, than mundanity for a hell of a while, then swing back into the supernatural side of things at the end? I don't know, that kinda bugs me. I'd rather have the escalating supernatural activity. Especially since we'd have MOAR FUKO.

1) True. But I liked Lucky Star and I liked Kagami and Tsukasa as well. So I just consider them to be like an homage to them more than just clones of them. Lucky Star is built on references and homages after all.

I liked them too, but christ, they're EXACT CLONES. That ruins both sets of twins for me.

It was boring as hell. Frankly, I don't get what the whole appeal to Tomoyo is that she deserves her own OVA and game sequel. She has the least-developed personality out of all five of the girls.

Meh... I never really liked Kyou or Ryou that much. I mean I tried to like Ryou so badly because I think she's pretty cute and her love for fortune telling etc. is pretty cool but I think she's kind of annoying. She's just... there. I know it's because the anime doesn't go in depth but seriously. Dx As for Kyou, she's just alright. She's probably on the same level as Tomoyo for me, if not a little bit higher - I've never had much of a thing for tsunderes. (If that's what you'd like to classify her as.) [[ And then omigawd her ugliness in the Clannad movie. o___o; ]]

I'd like to see an anime adaptation of Little Busters! even though I've heard that the stories aren't that breathtaking. XD (Or maybe the upcoming Key visual novel... Rewrite)

The hell? Fuko's Magical Girl appearances were some of the funniest parts. And yea, Nagisa is the main girl, so it's almost all about her.

This thread isn't exactly on the second page yet so I hope this doesn't count as reviving an old one. D:

Anyway~ Woooww the story is really starting to develop now. I honestly wasn't expecting Nagisa to get pregnant so early (we've still got what... 9 episodes?) but this just means that I'm going to become more attached to the little bundle of joy. ;____; Maybe I just have some really high expectations, but I'm hoping this'll be the first anime to make me cry. XDD

One thing that still bothers me though is how KyoAni doesn't show any sign of kissing or anything between Nagisa and Tomoya. I mean, you have to assume they already have since Nagisa's... you know. (If they hadn't then that's just weird if you ask me. ^^; ) While it's cute that they make it seem as if they're a really modest couple, sometimes it gets frustrating for me. It could be that I'm just used to all the kissing and junks from the manga that I read but while they're still a really cute couple, I keep getting reminded of how they were when they first started going out. It's as if they haven't improved much in their relationship. Still, that's only a minor complaint.
