Chaos;Head Computer Game to Get TV Anime

The September issues of Dengeki Daioh and Comic Alive have announced on July 26 that Nitroplus and 5pb.'s Chaos;Head computer visual novel will be animated for television this fall. In this psychological suspense story, a shut-in teenager named Takumi becomes embroiled in a series of mysterious deaths around the Tokyo neighborhood of Shibuya. Nitroplus also co-developed the Demonbane and Blassreiter multimedia franchises.

Wahaha yeah when I heard of this I was excited too! XD; I really don't know if it's a good series or not . . . all I know is that I really wanted to play the visual novel. However, it wasn't in English (I think?) so I was a little discouraged. But now this will make up for it. (hopefully)

First episode was funky. O_o; More harem-y than I thought but still fairly okay. ^^ I'm hoping it to get more "horror"-like later on though. :<

Haven't taken a look at the anime yet, but I can say that a translation patch has turned up for the game should you import it. It's still a beta-patch, so there are a bunch of game-stopping bugs, but it seems temporary fixes have been made for most of them already.

The first episode was alright in my opinion. I'll definitely follow this series to the end unless something that seriously turns me off happens. It's far more ecchi than I thought but I don't mind really. As long as it still makes me go "ewlolwtfmakeitgoawayXDD" in a sense... That's fine with me. ^^ (And Takumi's otaku-ness makes me smile at how I can sort of relate [not too much though] and both cringe in disgust.)

That cargo container is a pretty neat idea, in contrast to other visual novels where the protagonist has a home too big for only himself to live in (Well, maybe that's just Type-Moon works).

I wonder if he has a washroom in there, and if he has to pay rent, or a proper security system for that matter.

I don't quite understand why he lives in that... box though while his sister doesn't. (That really is his sister though, right? And not some chick catering to him because she lovvves~ him...?)

Yeah, I'd like to know why he lives there as well. I assume we'll learn more about him as the show goes on. But it's only 12 episodes (I think, or around there) so I doubt it will go into anything in great detail. Sadly. I'm guessing it's just because of his reclusiveness.

As of right now, we're told she is his sister. But I wouldn't be too surprised if she turns out to be his step-sister or something later on.

I suppose... It sucks that it's so short though since it looks like it has a lot of ground to cover. What I want to know most though is why they have those weird weapons (?) in the OP. It almost makes it slightly magical girl... which I'm kind of hoping it's not. Or at least, I hope it doesn't get too weird.

Yeah, I'll be importing the game after the patch comes out. It's seriously a shame that most english-speaking gamers wouldn't buy a Visual Novel. If there was more of a market for them, then we would get more of them officially translated over here. But I guess only anime fans really have an interest in them, so we'll just have to live with English Patches. The only Visual Novels we seem to get officially released outside of Japan are hentai games. And not even the ones with good stories and characters like early Key games or something... just pure hentai games that are there for the sake of being a hentai game.

Really is a shame... I wanna play the Key games... and Code Geass: Lost Colors.... and tons of other games that don't have English Patches....

That's true... Although I'm not sure if they'd really enjoy it since it's not really a "game game." All the localized visual novels are blah. I've never actually played any except for Yume Miru Kusuri since it seemed to be based more on story than hentai-ness. I thought it was really good. XD But looking at other visual novels, it doesn't seem like any are that similar. :| The only Key game I've played is Planetarian... I'm waiting for the Clannad patch (or was it an actual translation...) to be released. ><; The one game that I'm anxiously waiting for though is Tenshi no Inai Jyuuni Gatsu. Dx Although that's a serious hentai game I hear... XD;

Ah I'd love to play those two as well... Although I hope having watched the anime doesn't ruin my experience - as well as the fact that I'm not that big of a fan of the art. .__.; (It isn't bad... it's just not amazing. But those vns aren't all that new so I can't blame them.) I'd like to play -rewrite- as well~ XD It seems pretty interesting and I'd like to know how it goes since their regular story writer isn't directing it or something. (Or so I hear.) That and Little Busters! I wasn't too excited about it but after playing the translated demo, it doesn't seem too bad. XD; (I kind of wish KyoAni would make an anime of this as well...)

Episode 2 was rather strange. I'm really excited for this series although at the same time I find myself losing some interest. I can't wait for episode 3 though... hopefully it'll pick up more - especially since the series is only 12 episodes long! ;__; I'm just really in it for the horror psychological-ness of it all since I suddenly find myself being all "blahhh..." towards harem-esque things lately.
