I don't know how many of you keep up with news like this, but there was a panel at Otakon 2008 where people from popular fansub groups as well as people from the industry discussed the issue of fansubbing and how it affects the industry. It pretty much consists of the moderator bringing up certain issues and questions for them to discuss and then ends with a Q&A as most panels often do. If you're interested in this kind of stuff, check it out. I will warn you that it is a full video recording of the panel, and it runs for just short of 80 minutes.
