Clannad after story annouced!!! spoilers!

The May issue (on sale on March 29) of Dengeki G's Magazine will announce that a Clannad After Story television sequel has been greenlit for production. The staff (including director Tatsuya Ishihara series script editor Fumihiko Shimo) and cast will be largely unchanged from the recently concluded 2007-2008 slice-of-life television series. The first televsion series is based on a visual novel franchise from the software developer Key (Air, Kanon). Key is heavily promoting Clannad by collaborating with Gamania Entertainment on that company's Hiten Online and Holy Beast massively multiplayer online role-playng games (MMORPGs), and Yukiko Sumiyoshi launched a new Clannad ~tomoyo dearest~ manga based on the Tomoyo character last month.

This will be interesting, a sequel to the anime based on the After Story. I have high expectations for this since the first already proved to be almost close to epic. I just hope that they choose to stick with the real end in After Story, which is a tragedy.

We have no idea if they're going with the Bad or Good/Real Ending right now, but Good seems the most likely since the movie went with the Bad one. (Though they didn't show all of it)

Considering that the Bad ending is only a pitstop for the rest of the story, and thus the Good Ending, to happen, and that doing just up to the Bad Ending won't get them a full season, my faith in the Good Ending is strong.

Plus, it's KyoAni. They ALWAYS go with the best ending if they can.

... It'll follow the After Story of the game, so it's going to pick up where the first season left off.

Sorta irrelevant, but has anyone seen the movie animated by Toei? I'm scared to approach it.
You see, I saw KyoAni's rendition of AIR, and it was excellent. Then I saw Toei's AIR movie and I wanted to puke blood.

I saw some screenshots of the movie. I do not want to touch that thing with a 6 foot long pole.

The movie is OKAY. It's worth watching because it does have some pretty badass moments like Sunohara biting a ****'s ear off, but it's not something I'd watch again.

It's certainly better than the Air movie.

Can someone clear this up for me... the After Story that's announced is the one that had a little teaser trailer to at the end of episode 23 of Clannad, yes? It's to clear up all the mystery behind that little girl running in the OP of the series and whatnot, right? ^^; Sorry I've never played through Clannad and I don't necessarily spoil the series for myself right now. I just want to know if that's the one. ;;

Yes, it is. It's the sequel to the first season, and will wrap up all the plotlines.
