I prefer boys' love. It's much sweeter and lighter than yaoi. I especially love gakuen monogatari (BL in high school setting). Yaoi is confusing rape sex. I do not know how people could think that is "kawaii" or "true love". orz But I go to image boards that have scary otaku who like this. Maybe I just have weak taste?

It's hard to find Yaoi that doesn't involves sex and all o-o Like i've said sometime...You can have a girl 'loving' lots of people without doing more than just hugs to them all, but when it comes to boys, it's quite a different story 'XD

But today, BL and 801 (slang cellphone term for yaoi) are the same thing. I like to distinguish to not confuse myself w. So I I count as a yaoi fangirl? I like BL and 801 better. ^^

In any case, my serious opinion on yaoi is that there seems to be way too many girls (especially within the anime/manga-circles of people) who seem to be all "crazy" about it just because... They're men and most girls who are into that (or atleast the majority of the loud-mouthed ones) are ...or something. Then again, it might just be hormones mixing up with embarassment causing them to openly adore men on men instead of men on women.

...And that also makes me have to mention that I find it really wierd that the most loud people I have ever heard are so called "yaoi fangirls" at convents O.o

Oh well, I'm not going to bother getting into a debate since there obviously are people who like yaoi around here xD
Just making my opinion on the matter heard, nothing more. Heck, my observations may very well just concern convents in Sweden and nowhere else in the whole world xD

Also, I believe it obvious that homo- or bisexuals needn't feel targeted by anything I said above (except maybe for the "there are people who like yaoi around here"-part =3)

I <3 Yaoi. I read more untraslated Japanese Yaoi books then Trasnlated. I'm into the series Japan Has that i think is call Boys*Love? It's a collection of just short on chapther stories. Akuta, you bring a good point. But, not all BL fans are loud. >.< Most man x woman stories do not appeal to me. There are very little I like. BL is...different and unique. I can't describe it, but you could compare it to boys and how they like porn?

-Loveless-, Boys' Love is the term for "yaoi" in Japan. I am very unsure of the anthology you are talking about. There are no good novel/fanfiction, either, especially for .hack//GU! I will be shocked if I ever read a good one that is not stupid!

Biblos went bankrupt a year(s?) ago. It published good BL stories. But anthology stories are fine, also. I wish there were more high school BL stories with beautiful art!

And no, I don't think it's really like guys and porn. I hear girls making conversations walk towards the porn-direction way more often than boys ('cept for when I'm with my class that has only one - also the cause of many dirty discussions - girl in it) xP

But really, I hear girls being as dirty, if not more dirty than boys most of the time here.
But there is no male equivalent to Yaoi-fangirls outside of the internet in loudness(because face it, when you're on the internet, 4chan DOES show its presence and more of the /b/-side than the /y/-side)

Besides, since porn mainly is male x female, it actually doesn't make sense that it's considered more for men than girls xD
Maybe girls simply prefer talking about dirty things than watching pictures and movies of them? ;D

But yah. That's my conclusion from what the world has shown to me thus far xD

...as for my opinion on Yaoi...the Yaoi fangirls at my school are pathetic ((I personally couldn't believe it either)) and... I don't own much Yaoi, other than like Drawn stuff, cause apparently, some of these "Yaoi fangirls" kickass at draing, I'm not into any Yuri/Yaoi/Hetero reading or stories, I prefer one shot things^^ or bondage/gangbang/rape of any gender^^ Those are the only stories I prefer reading.
