My friend recently introduced me to this anime, and I think it's one of my all time favorites.
There is some ecchi and hentai in it but it's in small portions and not that much.

 Just alot about Yoko's boobs.

The one thing I hate about is it's only 27 episodes.

Any know of this other than me?

This is probabily one of the best animes ever although the last episode is so sad that makes you feel depressed but still worths being watched.

I finished watching this series a few weeks ago, and I really enjoyed it. The story wasn't much, but the animation was stylish and the presentation overall was something you don't get to see very often. It's definitely worth watching at least once.

HOLY S**T I just finished watching it and I'm incredibly impressed. The last episode was just the f***ing definition of EPIC. This is probably going to be my favorite Super Robot Show ever. I never saw it coming, it started out as a simple fun and enjoyable Super Robot series, then it ended up being an epic battle of galactic proportions. LITERALLY!

I also love how the series almost never stops being action packed and still keep a solid story. Even the hot spring and beach episodes (traditionally are laid back episodes) were still fun and it moved the story. Also very good character development too, since I prety much liked everyone (except Rossiu who became a complete a**hole during the 3rd Story arc).

I definitely recommend this anime.

Other than Yoko's bouncing boobs and her skimpy outfits there's hardly much perversion. There's some nudity in the hot springs episode, but they're all covered. The only exposed one there is Kamina's asscrack but at least his naughty bits are covered by a conveniently placed Boota. (Is there anything Boota CAN'T do?)

Lol, well Boota loves settling there. But since he is awesome (especially in the last episodes) its fine.

And technically he's a mole-pig, since Gurren Lagann has some really bizzare wildlife like the raccoon bird and (my personal favorite) grape hippos.

Basically its set in post-apocalyptic future where humans live underground. The surface is ruled by creatures know as beastmen who pilot robots called "Ganmen" (literally means face, since the robots are essentially heads with arms and legs), and basically kill any human that comes to the surface. The protagonist is an underground driller named Simon who comes across the Lagann, which is basically a mini-Ganmen that has the ability to combine with other machines. It also runs on Spiral Energy, which basically powered by emotions. (i.e. if you feel brave and determined it powers up, if you're scared and hopeless it loses power). Simon and his friends soon comes to the surface with the Lagann to fight for humanity.

It has 4 story arcs the first and second details the war with the Beastmen. The third and fourth arc , which is more serious (and also more awesome) takes place 7 years later, where entities know as Anti-Spirals come to destroy the world.

Most of my opinions aredetailed on my previous not. Also, take note that this a Super Robot series, so its meant to be illogical and over the top. The best way to enjoy it is to try not to make sense of it an enjoy it the show for what it is.
