What is your top 3 favorite Anime/Manga of all time and why?

I would have to say mine is a cross between three.

1.Shadown Skill
2.Iria
3.Dragon Ballz

All three of them have an indepth story to them, that you can grow to care about some of the characters. Or say wow that is awesome in fight scenes. ANYTHING really that can feed the imagination is a great thing. That is why there are so many of them out there, becuase different people relate to different things. But these three are my top 3.

Shadow Skill - Has a decent story line, but what drew me to this was the fights later in the series.
Iria - Who doesnt love a presumably unstopable alien and a bad ass woman out to kill it?
Dragon Ballz - Funny, Violent, and they fly. Come on, if you could gain more and more power, and throw energy beams, fly, teleport, and transform into a superior being...wouldnt we all. This is the main one that got my attention. I have an infatuation with flying, and i am a 3 time tournament champion in Thai-Style Boxing. So i would always imagine fighting and flying, and throwing energy beams. Good stuff.

Well i dont read Manga yet so my top 3 anime ive seen so far would be:

1) Naruto Shippuden - Great series so far...Cant wait for more episode to release (today 29 is sapposed to be out)
2) Bleach - Another series still going...just saw 140 today at lunch
3) YUYU Hakusho - just started watching this series but so far its one of the higher ranked ones i like.

Each of these are kind of an underdog steps up story. None of the main character in the begining were thaught much of as good guys or heroes, but as the stories unfold you see them growing up and turning into unstoppable forces.

Bleach follows the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school student with the ability to see ghosts, and Rukia Kuchiki, a shinigami (Soul Reaper or, literally, "death god"). The early parts of the story focus mainly on the characters. As events unfold, the story begins to delve deeper into the world of these gods of death.

Basically the beginning is about Ichigo getting Rukias powers to save his family and getting stronger and stronger as a deathgod. He then has to travel to the Spirit world to save the Imprisoned Rukia, he takes along some rathr gifted friends from the world of the living.

Nana: I always loved Nana since the start because the plot line revolved around two women who always had it rough ect ect.
The plotline just kind of drags you in, along with the music seeing as how it's an anime about a female singer: Rocker called Nana. I highly reccomend it, ending is okayish but another season is coming.~

Chrono Crusade: A friend of mine actualy introduced me to this anime/manga, i'm not really into all the 'religious' junk, but it too has a catchy plotline, it leads more to demons and evil spirts. I need to re watch this anime, the storyline was incredible and as most animes go it has that: Boy falls in love with girl thing. Or I should say 'demon'~

Blood+ : I've been watching whenever I see it's on, I haven't watched too much of it but i've watched enough to where I know what's going on, I think the main reason why I like it so much, is that how graphic it is: Not for the weak of heart or stomach fair warning.

He is my master- yes, this anime is a little echie and pesonaly i don't like ecchie stuff. the characters are why i wach it. I love the interaction between izumi and yoshaka. the boy is a perverted millionare who has a clothing fettish. the girls izumi alone with her sister and another girl wound up becoming maids at his place.

let me see if i can explain what happens.

yoshaka dose something perverted to izumi. izumi beats the crap out of him.
yoshaka dose something perverted to izumi again. izumi beats the crap out of him.
yoshaka dose something perverted to izumi yet again. izumi beats the crap out of him.

it's just funny how that hateful relationship is what brings them together in the end.

the artwork is good. the humor is good. what more can i say?

Azumanga daioh- freaking halarious. I like how each girl has different issue.

ciyo-chan= young. wants to be like sakaki
sakaki= shy. loves cats. wants to be like ciyo-chan
toma= super hyperactive
girl #4 = normal
girl #5 = athletic
osaka = mentally slow. (my personal favorite character)
girl #7 = obsessed with sakaki.

the teachers also have great personalitys. one of them is a man who is a pediofile.

great anime.

fruit basket - funny and full of meaning at the same time. cursed people that turn into one of the 13 animals of the chinese calander. a cute and funny girl that learns about the cursed family. good stuff.

it dosn't end at the ending of the manga. it gose about half way through it. still a nice happy ending.






those are my three. i would love to see other seasons of them.

Favorite Manga

Fullmetal Alchemist - I really like the storyline in the manga; in fact, I like it a lot better than the anime. Plus, it's just hilarious.

Chronicles of the Cursed Sword - Technically, not Japanese; this one's from Korea. But still, I likes it cause it has an interesting story and some pretty nice artwork.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle - Must I even explain myself? Good story, nice artwork, and great characters. Bada bing, bada boom.


Favorite Anime

Planetes - Now, I only just saw this recently, but it's quickly become one of my top faves. It's simply an all-around great anime. The opening theme is constantly being played on my Media Player.

Jubei-chan: The Ninja Girl - This is one of the funniest animes I've ever seen. Probably not one of the funniest out there, but still very enjoyable. Also, it's brought to you by the very talented Akitaroh Daichi.

Tokyo Godfathers - Possibly the best anime movie EVER. I love this to death, Satoshi Kon is the best.

FLCL-Funny and stuff isn't edited out so you don't have to worry about missing anything. The story was alot funnier and there was more emphasis on the characters though the ending was really weird.
Big O-Gread Mystery comspiracy for a plot as well as some episodes that made you wonder if the Paradagm City and everything else in the series was real or not. I liked the character as well as the action scenes. The ending was kinda disappointing.
Tenchi Muyo-I thought it was the funniest thing I've watched before Toonami lost it's edge. It had funny characters as well as funny scenes in all three season though the third one was really terrible. The plots were pretty good as well as the character development. This is a series I would rather watch instead of Chobits or Love HIna. XD

Anime section:
Twelve Kingdoms: This anime is my absolute favorite. It is a fantasy, yet so different from the usual. It takes place in a world which resmbles ancient China, and as welll as our own world. Not to mention the mix of psychology, war, politics and warm-hearted moments in the characters lives.
Slayers: My second favorite. This series is just hilarious. It's similar to a paordy on anime, and the same time very serious. Though it's hard to be serious when random jokes are being thrown into it. xD
Crest of the Stars/Banner of the Stars: My absolute favorite sci-fi anime. Unlike other sci-fi series, it centers on the main characters relationship and how they manage to live together through wars and revolutions. And not to mention all the weird characters.

Manga section:
Fullmetal Alchemist: Yeah, you guys should know this manga by now.
Petshop of Horrors: The main character is Count D, a chinese man who sells exotic animals in china town, somewhere in america. But unlike normal pets, these animals are everything from Dragons, murderous mermaids, carnivorous rabbits (who also dies after eating chips) and even human-looking animals.
Neon Genesis Evangelion: This series you absolute SHOULD know about. xD

1.Blood+:Its just the whole story.Its in depth,artworks amazing,and after the years time skip,Saya got hawt.

2.Chrono Crusade-A-maze-ing art work.Awesome story.And if an ending of any manga can almost move me to tears,its an awesome one.

Favorite Manga:
1) Saikano

Saikano --- okaayy so there's some "ehh bad stuff" in it... but the story is so cute D: I just love little love stories like this <3 While the ending wasn't really what I was hoping for, everything leading up to it just made me (literally) squeal of the cuteness of it all.
Chrono Crusade --- Loved this series. Filled with action and a little romance-ish. I dunno, but I think Chrono's kinda smexy in his demon form... The ending was great as well!
Maburaho --- Well, I'm not a big fan of harem-ey series (XD;; actually I am, I just won't admit it). There aren't many harem series that I've managed to finish and loved the ending. Actually, the only other series that I finished would have to be Shuffle. (Now that was a great ending. ;D) Maburaho is nice and short, yet the ending actually moved me to tears. ^^;; It was SO CUTE!!!

Favorite Anime:

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu --- Just made of pure win. It was funny, somewhat cute, and just... I liked Haruhi's personality. It's original and extremely different from the other anime I've seen. I think the messed up order also made me appreciate the anime a bit more.
Kanon --- It was cute and made me almost cry. Just... I loved it. All the characters are very well developed. Although I still object to the whole Yuuichi and Ayu thing going on... it was a cute storyline that was filled with love~~ Mai and Shiori's stories were the best. :3
Lucky Star --- xD;; pretty stupid... I'm going to admit it. This anime was pretty pointless and whatnot, but I loved it. It was funny if you ask me and the art is so cute. >< Yay~

[Hyuuga]

Manga: Bowling King ( My gawd, this manga is too damn funny as hell), Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle (obviously you know why), and Get Backers (its all about the fight of 'behemoths' which is really cool and superb pictures). Anime: The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi (this anime is so full of WIN), FMA (very good anime), and BLOOD+ (Saya is sooo hawt and awesome, and the story is good).
