Is the World Getting Worse?

I don't think one lifetime will go without a World War or War of sorts now =.=;

Although I'd agree that people won't go through a lifetime without war, I think the age of major power versus major power has gone. Think of the "cold war", during that period there was enormous tension between the USSR and USA, but the fighting took place between smaller powers around those nations' areas of interest. I think what we're going to see is an increasing number of smaller wars until the term "war" begins to seem ill-fitting.

Whether or not these conflicts are going to be instigated by fundamentalism is the major question that I'm interested in trying to estimate right now.
