Clear Data for vol.3

I have a simple question can you have a vol.3 clear data and go back to vol.2?
If so what are the effects.

Well, I don't know the response to that off the top of my head. But you would think so, seeing as how the other games did that. So I guess you would just start off at a higher level with that levels equips or something.
