While games ship out on Monday and Tuesday, most retailers don't actually receive the games until that Wednesday -- usually between noon and 5pm. This has been the case with virtually 95% of the releases I've picked up this year, the only exceptions off the top of my head being Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth Remix which GameStop didn't get until Thursday night, and Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3, because that got delayed from July 24th to August 14th.mr.classybear wrote:Your WAK! Redemption ships on the 10th, so it will be in stores by the 11th.

Hmm... I guess I'll take care of the Lost Weapons for Vol. 3, unless someone's grabbed it already. Just gotta wait for the game, first.

Death. Taxes. .hack games. These seem to be the three new certainties in life, as .hack//GU Vol. 3: Redemption, the final game in the .hack//GU story arc (but not, we suspect, the final title in the prolific .hack multimedia franchise) is set for release this September.
.hack//GU Vol. 1: Rebirth opened the GU series with a bang, taking the franchise in a darker direction with a cynical, vengeful protagonist: Haseo, the "Terror of Death," a player-killer killer in The World (.hack's "online" game-within-a-game). But we'll admit it: .hack//GU Vol. 2: Reminisce didn't exactly enthrall anyone at the 1UP Network, as its plot was a little heavy on esoteric technobabble (a .hack tradition, we know -- it was just a little much for us). For what it's worth, Redemption seems to cut through the yawn-inducing Matrix-style philosophizing filler and gets straight to the point, at least based on our hands-on time with an early version of the game; Vol. 3 finds Haseo reeling from a shocking revelation at the end of Reminisce and ready to exact final retribution (we'll keep things vague in case you're still playing through Vol. 2).
SCREENS: Click the image above to check out all .hack//GU Vol. 3: Redemption screens.
Combat and exploration are both essentially the same as the previous two GU entries, though you do have a larger stable of potential adventurers from which to choose. Namco Bandai says that 22 characters will be available in total, though only 10 are unlocked at the beginning of the game. The extra party options are definitely welcome; one of the problems with the first two games' limited lineups was getting stuck with characters you'd rather strangle than go adventuring with (we're looking at you, Gaspard!). However, be prepared to venture through some very familiar environments -- and we don't mean that in the nostalgic sense. While Redemption does include two new towns and a couple of new dungeons, you'll usually slog through the same scenery as in the first two games.
While we did find Redemption's storytelling and combat a little more enjoyable than Reminisce's, it doesn't look like there'll be enough improvements to snag those who aren't already big-time aficionados. Personally, we love the .hack concept but think something's missing in the execution -- still, the series isn't exactly short on fans, so it must be doing something right.

Re: Volume 3 Guide/FAQ/Walkthrough Thread
This is all I know about the lost weapons in Vol.3:
Ok, After you get Yata's Member Adress, you need 50 Adler's Keys to unlock his lost weapon, fight it the beast will be Level 120. After getting his lost weapon, you will be able to upgrade your Lost Weapons by Contributing Virus Cores by data draing with avatar awakening, You get about 2-4 virus cores every time you data drain, depending on the size.
You can upgrade your Lost Weapon up to 6 times. The 1rs Time you need 20, then 30,40,and last 50.
After you upgrade all of the lost weapons, a shop opens at the Serpent Of Lore and at Net Slum Tartaga. Any Virus Cores you have can be traded at the shops over there for items.

Re: Volume 3 Guide/FAQ/Walkthrough Thread
For Yata's lost weapon I believe he automatically has it equipped when he first joins.
The reason behind that is say you had zero adlers keys in vol. 2 when converting to this vol. it would be impossible to unlock Yata's weapon if he doesn't come with it equipped since the adlers keys can't be picked up in vol. 3 at all.

Re: Volume 3 Guide/FAQ/Walkthrough Thread
as for the lost weapons its 5 max LV's not 6.
Also note while the final form on the lost weapons are "LV 135" they are still equippable at Lv 75 since the LV 135 refers to the lv's of all the lost weapon guardians only.

Re: Volume 3 Guide/FAQ/Walkthrough Thread
after you maxed out all of the lost weapons, you can buy stat increasing items with virus cores, from a grunty in netslum, you can max everybody's stats. I think?

A LV 5 lost weapon may have the stats of a LV 135 weapon but they are still equippable at LV 75 not LV 135.
