Soul Calibur Movie?

I think its about time for it. There have been a lot of videogame movies out in the past couple years and they prettymuch had no storyline (FF7:AC), but Soul Calibur could be amazing, start with Xunghua and Kilik fighting (her winning of course) and them making a pact to destroy soul edge, then have them meet the other characters on the way, they eventually run into Seigfried and he whoops em, then they follow him and catch the fight of the century between Seigfried and Nightmare (who by the way WAS Necrid).

Of course once thats over they ally face out bone-y scythe wielding friend and Xunghua grabs the Soul Calibur and the 3 of them fight it together!

i would say, why. they are making soul callibur legends right now, so i doubt that they would make it

They might need more $$$ to wipe their butt with?! I mean it is the highest grossing ADX franchise other than Megaman and Resident Evil. And they havent even put it on the PSP yet. I figure since they have a good storyline already they could just run with it and go the way of Tomb Raider.

I've heard talk about an SC movie produced by Warren Zide, who I only recognize as the director of Final Destination 1 and 3. There's a teaser site out there somewhere that lists the movie as coming out sometime this year, but I don't know if that's still happening. If it is, they're doing a great job of keeping quiet about it.

Why are you so down on Siegfried? Granted, the only characters we care about are the Alexandras, but still, is there no room for the knight with a troubled past?

He's just not cool, and he's the normal typical dark hero. He really doesn't have much of a story either he just got messed up when he touched Soul Edge and became Nightmare for some years.

Now Kilik definitely should be the main character. Him and Seong Mi-na would receive my vote.

Agreed! Those two have so MUCH untouched story within their chatacters it's not even funny. Siegfried on the other half has NO story what so ever, and he like the main caracter in te games, and Nightmare is just some monster that comes about when people decide they want thave sex when the Soul Edge xD

See, if they did make a SC movie, they'd obviously have to include nightmare as the main baddie. He's had the most contact with soul edge and has the most distortion done to him to date. He's also the most in depth baddie, so thats also a plus.

By that same token, Sigfried would be a default sub main character. I highly doubt that they'd make a series out of this(not against it) But if they did, they'd probably focus on (1st movie) cervantes and the time which he held the soul edge and have sigfried going after him. The half way point would be cervantes defeat, and sigfried obtaining soul edge. The 2nd movie would be his descent into nightmare. Of course, they might compact it into one movie as well, but that'd be the basic plotline.

Xianguha(however you speel her name) and killik would be the main goodies focused on, primarily because xianguha's mother was supposed to have had a hand in creating soul calibor(the good sword). The alexandra's could be in the movie, but they'd be there more for fan service.

Also, mitsurugi would have to be in it. No if's and's or butts about it-He's one of the staple characters in the whole SC franchise.

Yeah im pretty sure they'd have to get all the races right in the movie and the costumes would have to be well done. If they added the same visual effect as 300 then I think it would look like god had a hand in its creation.

Actually he's comparing live actions movies and how they can mess up on somebodys race.

Besides, They wouldn't be able to do Ivy. . *ahem*

And. . Yeah, it'd be horrible as a live action.

CGI such as Final Fantasy would be MUCH better, but there's still the storyline to think of.

No one is really on a team in the games (well, there's prolly like a coupel Duos and one Trio but for the msot part, it's an all-out thing for Soul Edge) So they'd have to leave out a couple characters, don't you think?

But then again, they could do little bits of each character's adventure to where Nightmare/Soul Edge is and then the all-out war breaks. . but that would be too chaotic with all those characters.

But, of course on the way a couple characters would be taken out (cervantes, Maxi. . )

But overall, I don't think a movie would be a good idea. Too much stuff.

And they could use the minor characters as just small appearences, and they have to put Setsuka in since she has a storyline (Mitsurugi raped her) and have her fighting him in it. Tira vs. Kilik would be awsome, and Xanghua vs. Zasalamel while the Seigfried vs Nightmare fight goes on, interrupting eachother. And of couse Maxi vs crazy axe guy (please insert name.)

Personally, I dont think this is possible. Soul Calibur storyline seems to create time paradoxes alot of the time. Like a character is dead from someone, but in a different story they kill that character again.
