I just watched the sub last night, so let me try and explain, to the best of my knowledge

 Ovan's Rebirth was only specifically targeted to malicious AIDA, which are only a small amount of all AIDA. The good AIDA were sparred and, apparently, brought Ovan's mind back.

Again, that might be incorrect, because I was trying to put it together from information I just got last night.
