MegaMan Star Force

Post by Haseo-Skaith »

I went to Toonami Jetream to see if there was anything good there and found this little gem. Its the first episode of MegaMan Star Force. So far it isn't quite like MegaMan NT Warrior, but there are some similaritys.

The premesis of the show is that its the far future. The world is connecting through Electro Magnetic Wave Network. Basically the world is all wireless now. Everyone wears a device on their arm that acts like a PC, TV, Personal ID, and use money, pretty much everything. And of course there are electro magnetic viruses that go around and cause chaose in electronics, which mostly looke like Metours. But there are no net Navies, infact the viruses are taken care of by police using something that looks like a leaf blower that sucks the viruses away. People can see the electromagnetic waves by using a visor they call a Visualizer, which makes is look like the northern lights.

The story revolves around this kid named Geo and what happend to his father on a space station that mysteriously blew up when they made contact with an alien entity.

In another part of the galaxy a group of entities are chasing another of their kind named Omega-Xis, who escapes from them with some kind of Key and then flees to earth. At the end Omega-Xis is battle one of the guys chasing him and one of them falls and lands on Geo, and then there's a flash of light and all thats left is Geo unconciouse on the ground.

If anything it looks like this is meant to promote a new game searies similar the MegaMan Battle Network in a way. In itself the show looks pretty interesting. Deffinitly doesn't look like a knock off of Pokemon.

I watched a bit though the computer I was using didn't have headphones so I really didn't know what they were saying the whole time I was watching it. It looks like they tweaked the style a bit but I have a feeling it isn't going to let me down on the action and characters. That's what I like about the Megaman anime though I never got to see how Megamen NT Warrior ended. *Bummed*

Looks like Episode 2 is up for our viewing pleasure. Pretty good episode too. We actually see Geo and Omega-Xis become MegaMan.

This is a bit off topic, but how exactly can you have a DS emulator? That takes the point of everything about the DS.

And another Megaman series being dubbed. Whoop-de-do.

Episode 3 is up. Seems they change the episode every few days. But it always says Available tell 9-17-07. So I guess that they have to show as many episodes as possible before then.

It was a pretty good episode. I'm glad they decided to make more Megaman anime.. the anime world wouldn't be the same without the Blue Bomber. However it sucked that they ended it right when geo was about to fight one of the other being from Planet FM. What a rip!!!
