Anime vs super heros [Like DC and Marvel ]
Moderator: Moderators
DC characters are superheros of the real world. Modern time. The only animes you see that are real time nowadays are more along the lines of soap operas instead of duking it out with each other every second. And those don't tend to have people flying around waging war. Alot of animes you see go beyond just the living world. They have spirits, demons, alies, etc.. Fighting your own world where you are the exception to the weakness that is everyday people is different than fighting a completely different race of 'things' [i.e. aliens and demons].

Except, Super Saiyajin level 4 Gogeta. Hell, even Super Saiyajin level 1 Goku could whoop that Krypton senseless.MasterKite wrote:Pffftt. Anime characters would totally win! Say you got Spiderman vs Inuyasha. Spiderman's gonna try to do this web crap and Inuyasha just gonna let loose the Wind Scar and beat the heck out of him. However I'm neutral on this for the most part because it matter which anime character vs which super hero. Cheesy super heros like Superman would win against pretty much every character because of his multiple powers and immunity to everything except kryptonite.
However..he'd lose against the Living Tribunal. Like someone stated before, it depends on what anime character's paired up against what comic book character, hm.

Flash: Well, he'd be hard to hit, but Dbz charas would keep up(Notice a theme?)
I'll give you one fighting anime off the top of my head:DC characters are superheros of the real world. Modern time.
Negima.
er....vol, 12 was it?no, 13.
The characters are fighting a huge tourney and even normal people with extreme training can stand up to the 'super' characters for a bit.
One of the girls in the audience even says around the end "I've watched this thing since the beginning and my eyes are getting used to the speed already!"

My official vote goes for Anime. For somewhat reason, i've found that anime is much more interesting and got great music. For the superheroes, Batman is the best, i think...

Like many have said before, it depends on whom is being compared to whom.
For instance, obviously Batman would be no match for DBZ characters, due to their insane "power" and near invunerablity.
However, DBZ Vs. The Phoenix, or a fully powered Franklin Richards is not going to go well for the DBZ boys.
There are many "superheroes" who defy and manipulate the laws of physics and reality.
Hell, Franklin could simply will the universe to expel the DBZ boys.
And the Phoenix is overtly immortal. Hell, the Phoenix Force is Life itself.
That is a ridiculously overpowered individual, to the likes that most cannot begin to stand against.
So, really, the question isn't so simply which genre will win, as both have powerful, "god-like" entities.
It's really character vs. character.
Even then, however, there are circumstances that may change depending on where they are.
We all need to remember, that the characters we vote for are only powerful in their own "story-world".
For all we know, Goku could be killed by a butterfly in Spiderman's world. And vice-a-verse-a.
However, my vote would have to go to Squirrel Girl.
Look it up, you'll understand!

I'm kind of confused by the poll. Are you asking if anime is better than DC or Marvel? That's kind of one-sided, don't you think? You're comparing two comics publishers to the entire anime industry, and as has been stated earlier in this thread, Eastern and Western animation inspire each other. That's just how it works: American comic writers obsessed with Japanese cartoons are naturally going to be inspired by them, and vice versa. Now, I've never been particularly interested in superhero culture, but I'm assuming you didn't mean to compare DC & Marvel to all of anime. So, being insanely fond of Heroes, I picked superhero over anime, because I think I might like Claire just a TINY BIT MORE than Cassandra. It's close as hell though.
