What would you call the three levels of Data Drain?
What would you call the three levels of Data Drain?
In the original games, we got four names...Data Drain, Drain Arc, Drain 2080(?), and Drain Heart
Now, in this game...we get three new levels of Data Drain, each with their own nifty little animations
My question to you is this:If they were normal SP use spells (like the originals), what would you name them according to level, appearance, etc.
Example:
Level 1-Drain Flower SP-10 D-Drains target and causes multiple status inflictions to a single target while gaining virus cores.
Level 2-Drain Cannon SP-30 D-Halves target's HP, multiple status breaks, virus cores
Level 3-Soul Drain SP-50 D-Heavy damage to all targets, negative status, and virus cores

I don't know why people use those. I mean, certainly not because of the effects.Azure crow wrote: At the most,I'd go for Data drain,Drain Ark,Drain Heart.

Data Drain: Okay, fine, all that's set to this is that it Data Drains. This passes.
Drain Ark: The all-hit version of Data Drain. Too bad GU's Data Drain already damaged all enemies.
Drain Heart: USE TO WIN BIG! RARE ITEM PRIZES!!!!!!!!!!!! TOO BAD GU'S THIRD DRAIN DOESN'T INCREASE THE CHANCES TO GET ITEMS! IN FACT, IT DOESN'T EVEN ALLOW IT!...!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to go by statisticts of what they do,all the drain do the same, but do mroe damage than the last.
So we got Data Drain,Data Drain lv 2,and Data Drain lv 3.
Yay.
*wags finger*How exciting....

Dammit, Crow, now you're forcing me into a meaningful discussion about a post where I just wanted to make a simple point while getting a few laughs along the way. But fine, be that way. Yes I do think that Data Drain Lv 1-3 would be better, since that's what it is. I mean we didn't go thinking up deep and meaningful names for Skeith's forms, did we? And before someone does something random and annoying like naming them right now, NO WE DID NOT. There. You now have my rant. Happy?Azure crow wrote:

Re: What would you call the three levels of Data Drain?
By "deep" I meant how we somehow came up with the threesome combination that did not include 2128 Drain. It wouldn't be meaningful if we didn't have to exclude one. And don't get me wrong, I'm not mad at you for using those names. I'm pretending to be upset because my intention was to make a comment and move on, and then you struck up a conversation.Azure crow wrote:

I never thought you were upset, and it wouldn't have bothered me anyways.
Anyways, you responded to something I said,so you should have expected a response.
But I also have no intention of continuing this conversation.
Partially because it holds no debating merit, and partially because I'm on dial-up right now....

I'd call them something that would actually make sense in a computer such as...
roflpwnt.dd1
ggnub.dd2
omfg.dd3
m-m-m-monsterkill-kill-kill.dd4
