There's too many nice music in .hack... I can play some of them... but my favourite song is Boukoku Kakusei Catharsis from .hack//roots. The meaning to the lyrics is quite powerful, once you know what the lyrics mean.

What? You want me to pick one song from the .Hack series? It can't be done, my head would explode! I love them all so much.

It also depends heavily on the mood and what I'm trying to write, I use music to help me focus when I'm writing, and B.T. from SIGN is so fitting for the sad pining feeling applied to the various member's of Giniro's band in Life of the Silver Tear, or Suspicion from Liminality when I'm writing Isle of Dreams, particularly the Amfa. Open Your Heart from the Song of the World CD when I'm writing about either Giniro and Kokeyera or Cadmus and Akemi, the song really sings the emotion of longing. I couldn't leave out Everything in these Hands from GU Rebirth, that song was so good I went out and bought the soundtrack before I even finished playing Rebirth, it makes for great fight scenes in any of my stories. I should probably stop now, lest I end up listing virtually every .Hack song and then spill into the other songs I have, like Asue no Hashi from Gundam Seed Destiny or Lilium (Saint Version) from Elfen Lied.
