I think it just really depends on your opinion....personally. You may think one thing, but a totally opposite thing happens. It is just how anime works sometimes.

You think you have it figured out, and then the show does a complete 180 and does something you wouldn't have seen coming in a million years.

The biggest question all of you all have is:

Does Naruto Die?

Although, I will not spoil this, I will say, the movie will upset some people while others will rejoice. It is a good movie.

Although, I was rather disapointed.

But, I digress. Anime's sometimes, you think you gott'em pinned but they wind up doing something completely different.

I've said this before but he could die in the film. It wouldn't be considered canon so the series could continue on as if it didn't happen. (Like how all the crew of Space Battleship Yamato died in the movie but the 2nd season continues as if it never happened). That way they can do a grand finale to look back on in case the series self destructs later on (like Kenshin and Inuyasha which never got proper endings).

The anime is suppose to follow the manga, except for fillers, and in the manga Naruto doesn't die. If he does in the anime, it makes it a filler, and filters are non-canonical and cannot affect the main storyline. But if Naruto dies, it certainly does affect the main storyline. So it creates a quantum fluctuation, and it collapses in on itself, making the Naruto anime never exist, and everyone goes back to reading the manga, just as it should be.

IMO,a manga or anime with the main charactor dieing is a good thing.It shows some reality.Take Deathnote for example. Light died.Most people specualated that he would die.Like a god.He thought of himself as a god.And he died like the most pathetic human ever.It showed that even with power,you still fear the end.The nothingness.He thought he was invincable and was proven wrong.So Naruto dieing maybe a good thing,because "Believing in It" isnt good make you Death Proof.Quinton Terintino(sp?) is.
