well i have a theory that would support the adept rouge theory though im not fully convinced even though i would want it to be true.

if indeed those are his lost weapon twin blades they could be held a different way as other twin blades. but, if ovan was equipped with those twinblades when he was infected that could explain why he can have his steam gun out as well. if the aida infection caused his left arm to not be able to switch out weapons as normal he could switch out for the steam fun on the right hand but his left arm would not be affected.
