Opera Releases Nintendo DS Browser

I already knew but they are only selling the DS Lite version of the browser any oneelse with the normal DS has to order it over the internet D:

with the older standard DS version, unique because of its differently-shaped GBA slot, will be exclusive to the online store.

They want people to get a Lite.

And just now the US gets it? It better not have the <56K rendering I've heard about from all the pirates who downloaded it off the net.

erm, its been out everywhere for ages O_o
just because it wasnt in the usa before hand doesnt mean the only way to test it would be to pirate it and then read reviews of how well it works like that

i think reading reviews of the actaual jp or eu versions may be better, especially considering that the card needs some memory expansion, which not all homebrew whatever things seem to have.
tbh, i've only heard rumours of how to get it working and so far, i've failed with my R4

but yeah, the reviews i've seen of the actual product do seem to show how slow it can be

Don;t trust all the reviews man. You gotta check things out yourself sometimes. Or else you will miss out of good things you thought were lame.

Well, you must either use the official memory expansion or a gba-slot homebrew card with RAM in it.
Either way, it's 2 carts anyway, much easier to just BUY it if you want it.

The only homebrew web browser for the DS I'm aware of right now is retawq in DSLinux (and I think the RAM build also has links, but if you had the RAM you'd have Opera running).

yeah i'll try out the latest build to see if it's better then what i managed to get

Nitendo just wants you to spend more money on their stuff you by the Ds theres a DS lite. You buy the DS Lite finally, theres a Wii. Then you buy the Wii and Nitendo has made some money off of you. Not to mention what you spend on games.

Well Nintendo is doing waaaaaaaay better than sony with their PS3 and PSP. So it's worth spening some money for Nintendo once and a while.

Sony isn't going to get jack this year. With DMC4 going multiplatform and MGS4 most likely going multiplatform the PS3 two trump cards were just destroyed. PSP controls suck,compared to the DS it's 3-4 million copies behind the DS, and 25% of the PSP games are actualy fun. :\

the ds and wii are COMPLETELY different, so thats understandable
and whats wrong with releasing the lite. new technology, can make it smaller and new, nicer design. sounds good to me.

the lite came out and i've still got my original DS. i've not had to buy a lite. so i see no scam in any of it :S

I didn't say there was anything wrong about it. Its just they should have came out with that first.
