ps2 online

i was just wondering if anyone played online games for ps2 and which ones did you play. i play socom2,3, and CA(combined assault), monster hunter, and metal gear solid 3 substance. my name on all of them is da_xavier.

I was thinking about setting my PS2 up for that but wasn't sure if you had to pay for it. Is it free or is it like XBox live?

Pretty sure it's free, but like, not uni-fied. Or..good.

yes it is free and it is good. the servers you play on are done by the games it self. its better then xboxs which only has one server that crashs or has to many problems with it at a time.

...yeah I think your wrong about the whole free online I think it depends on the game because they might have seperate servers.

I play psu online my name is sonic360 or you can find me under dragonsbreath yeah but I thought like ever quest is 10 a month and it is like 4.99 a month as it is to activate ps2 online.

actually I found it lagged more on xbox live im sorry microsoft you s**t out your systems last minute they need to take more time on it.

You've lost any respect I had for you, right there.

First of all, on Halo 2, there are four dedicated Matchmaking servers. I'll give you the IPs if you want them to check. Second, it's NEVER down, and it NEVER crashes. There are no problems with it, either. I can go to xbox.com and manage all the stuff I can from my XBox. Can your PS2 do that? No.

That being said, the only game I've played online was Resident Evil: Outbreak.

FACTS:

No microphone included

No chat function in-game

No way to communice besides 4 pre-set functions

Awkward controls and clunky gameplay mechanics
As compared to Halo 2:

FACTS:

Microphone included with Online play

Chat function both in, out, and between games

Better rendering, and faster rendering

Could use a few less idiots, but it's worth it :]

All in all, the FACTS prove that XBox live is much better than "PS2 Online".
