"N-no..." Rin whispered, mismatched eyes wide with shock, as her friends were consumed by AIDA. She stepped forward, trying to reach them, but then they began to attack, each picking different people to fight with. Just one-on-one then? Ren's voice echoed in Rin's mind, sounding slightly nervous.
Rin jumped back as she felt a hand on her shoulder. She whimpered pitifully as she gazed at Applegate's red and black eyes.
"A-A-A-Apple-san..." What did she mean about being happy?
Her ears suddenly perked up angrily as Ren took control. She flinched as Applegate drew her sword, and quickly struggle out of her loose grip on her shoulder. The Multi Weapon drew her Twin Blades automatically, holding them crossed in front of defensively. She growled at him, trying to sound more fearsome then she actually was, an impression that was ruined somewhat by her minuscule size.
"You idiot," She muttered, earning her a disapproving noise in her head from Rin, "You forget that..."
She readied her blades to strike, "...that we're..."
She leaped forward, Twin Blades held out in front of her, "...Two against one!"
She slammed one of the blades into Applegate's side, surprised by her success. The young Lei quickly rolled out of the way, before Applegate could hit them. As she clumsily got to her feet, her ears drooped back down as Rin drew her new Grimoire.
Her eyes glinting with both fear and determination, the younger girl quickly cast her most powerful spell she had learned so far.
"OrVak Don!!"
She held her weapon in front of her defensively as fire rained down on her friend, shaking slightly.
Applegate: 1300 HP remaining.

Ao's weight fell onto his spear for support. Hikaru was a much stronger opponent than the AIDA had realized... But the dark force had also noted something else in the battle.
"You're resisting to fight? The voice echoed in Ao's mind."Instead of me taking over your body and mind, you only allowed me to move your body while you keapt dominance within your own mind.. As such, I cannot fight as swifty as you would in this foriegn body, isn't that right? There's more to you than I thought, human."
"It's your own ignorance for thinking I would so easily attack a comrade, monster.." Ao said in response.
It only gave off a small sound of annoyance before Ao stood back on his feet. "Regardless, she will die."
The AIDA was close to death, as such it needed to use it's fullest abilities in the hopes of winning. It spewed out and around Ao. If it couldn't beat Hikaru's power, then it would beat her speed.
The black dots that now surrounded and covered him suddenly gave way and fell to the floor, revealing that Ao was no longer there. Surprised, Hikaru looked around her, but couldn't figure out where he had gone to. Before she could realize what happened, She felt Ao's spear slice into her back. Hikaru turned to counter attack but hit nothing but black AIDA as it again fell to the floor.
From Hikaru's left side, Ao let off a stream off thrusts, all connecting with some part of her body then followed it up with a hard upward attack with the butt of his spear sending Hikaru flying into the air.
Again the AIDA dots appeared above Hikaru just as Ao's foot reappered and slammed her back into the ground below. His own body fell with hers as the rest of the dots converged onto his spear, charging it up for one last explosive attack.
Ao's body crashed into Hikaru's which had just made contact with the floor. The power of it sent out a small shockwave as the main force buried Hikaru's body deep in the now cracking and exploding ground.
Ao leapt back and returned his weight back onto his spear. The AIDA quickly tried to think of another plan in case Hikaru still lived, it was fairly sure that the rest of it's attacks were going to be far weaker than that one.

"I...won't...lose to you!" Glace shouted as he tried to resist the darkness that quickly began to engulf him. Through a small opening of the darkness, Glace caught a glimpse of some strange energy heading towards him at an incredible speed.
"What the...?" Unable to move any longer, Glace took the hit and was sent crashing further down into the sky below. "Aaaaack!" His entire body ached with pain and his eyes shut as his fall suddenlly stopped. He opened his eyes then, but only to find out the attack had blurred his vision. "Where...are you, Uraki?"
Finally he saw the small Harvester's body floating a distance above him. His vision began to recover and he got into battle position; the wind around him picking up rapidly. "Found you. Haaaaa!" He jumped towards her as she quickly sent her long expandable AIDA arm to attack him. Glace was able to avoid it and slash it with the blade. No sooner did the possessed girl charged towards him; her red pupils glaring with death.
"Your not getting me anymore!"
Glace took his blade out of the AIDA's arm and moved away from Uraki's attack. He swang his blade upwards and then swang it downwards, sending a fully powered MoonWave towards Uraki. The girl was struck down and was stunned for a moment. Glace went down again, stopping behind her and completing his combo with three swift slashes at her back, sending her downwards.
Please forgive me, Uraki. He thought for a moment as he saw her stopped herself and look back at glace.
"I'll get you!" She yelled back and began to shine with yet another bright light that outlined her character. Eve could he heard laughing once more.

I chuckled as Ren struck me followed by Rin's magic attack. "Rin... how dare you attack an old friend... Youve hurt me now... Should I strike you down? Should I take hold of that live of yours and tear it out of you? Eve says I can. Should I listen?" I quickly jumped behind Rien and twsited my blade around her neck. "I want you both to know something... the Apple you once knew is gone. Call me Kira... the one who killed you!" I threw the small character to the ground and immediatly switched to my steam gun. A light shown at the front of it as I charged my shot. I smiled happily, my eyes became lighter; it mightve just been the light from the shot but I looked happy... My eyes shown like two gems. "Your death will... be... FORGOTTEN!!"

(God I hate the fact I had to work today from 9am to 8pm. Sorry about that guys.)
"I agree.... let's remove the kiddie gloves and fight for real" Chaos said as his body was seemingly completely taken over. His mind unable to resist the infection, the AIDA mutated his arm, his body, his legs, and his head. The only things still human about him were his left arm and the left side of his face. The rest had been altered. The AIDA Chaos waisted no time in taking advantage of his newfound power. He lifted his blade above his head one-handed as if it was nothing using his un-infected arm, leaving the infected one to use as a weapon of it's own. (think of black and red version of "Nightmare" from Soul Calibur) Now able to wield his sword one-handed, he was able to take advantage of a whole plethora of new skills that AIDA gave him. "Hehehe... let's end this... CHAOTIC REIGN!" Chaos said, activating a new skill that AIDA had given him. Using AIDA tentacle hands, he surrounded Miles, not actually attacking her with them. Once she was surrounded, He took his blade with both hands and slammed down hard with a dark power that sent her flying.

When his skill trigger had recovered, he activated another skill, stepping back as a result afterwards. "TEMPEST BLAST!!!" Shadow shouted as his gun fired off a barrage of blasts in Dex's direction.

The sound of lightning struck the ground as in the same server stood the figure known as Adam, having stood on top of a giant tower while staring up at the 7 cages that held within skeletons of angels, his hand holding a orb while another held a book, having been titled the ' Legend of the Twilight '
" She plucks the threads that make us dance, finger and toe. We surrender, in joy to the lowest of the foul and rank. We submerge through darkness, rancid filth, hour by hour we move downward, ever closer to hell. In a slow, steady, gait. " He had whispered, the book having glowed as he raised the orb and let it float by itself to the center of the pillars as the cages started to shake and the sound of bells began to be heard.
" Now, let the world resonate. Sloth, Gluttony, Greed, Envy, Lust, Wrath, and Pride. A bell of chaos that tolls human desires. " He had said as each ring caused the data orb to tremble and shake as sparks came out from it and struck each cage causing more of the ringing.
" Destruction! Carnage of Despair! Let your instincts drive you. Entrap this world in fear! As its very name AIDA strikes terror into the hearts of mankind. And I, will become the order to rule this wasteland, engulf with pandemonium!! " He had shouted out, AIDA having flowed around the tower as he stared up at the orb. Sparks coming from it as it suddenly shot up, AIDA having followed after it as it disappeared into the sky.
" And now...prove your use to me...and kill her.. " He whispered, the bells having stopped ringing. His arms crossed as his disappeared with the stream of data as the area itself corroded away.

For a while I thought I fell asleep. Having been laying in a white bed while the sky was pure white, the bed having been placed in a forest it seems as trees were within my view as I stared up. A floating torn teddy bear having floated by every now and then. Lying motionless in a dream...
Then rising suddenly I felt a chilling breath upon me. A girl wearing complete white robes and long hair that reached down to my face. My head in her lap as one hand was underneath my head supporting it while another stroked my cheek and moved the strands of hair from my face. A disappointed and saddened look in her face as her blue eyes stared down at me, almost through me as they seemed to know all. A glowing silver button placed on the collar of her robe, having matched a infinity symbol. She had leaned down to me. She softly whispered in my ear.
Her words were deafened automatically as she talked, my fears having been brought back as it flowed through my body and invaded my mind. I waited painfully for not to fall again, trying to silence the fear within me. Her mouth having stopped talking as she moved from my ear and was close to my face having leaned down again.
I felt a stinging kiss through my mouth as my eyes widened, my hands clenching at the bedsheets as it just created more pain through my body. My eyes half closed from the pain as she leaned back up. And then I saw a crimson stain on her lips.

Hikaru shut her eyes tightly, pain wracked her body all over. She could barely move, much less see anymore. She held fast in the cracked ground, blood smeared over her cut and wounded frame. The Multi Weapon stood up slowly, gravel and dirt falling to the ground from her shoulders.
"You forget that I too, am an AIDA..." Hikaru said quietly and stumbled towards Ao slightly, then stopped. Spheres began to bubble around her, but rather than the pitch black there were supposed to have been, there were the colour of pure snow. The spheres froze for a moment, as if time stopped, then shot themselves straight into the Multi Weapon.
Hikaru cringed for a moment, pain wracking her fragile frame once more. However, crimson light began to outline her body, and her wounds began to close. "They say to fight fire with fire. Therefore, I shall do so!" she shouted and charged at Ao with a number of unhesitated strikes against him.
"Wake up Ao! Don't you DARE give in to the forces that you fight against!"

Uraki stopped suddenly in front of Glace, her eyes flickering from black and red to her normal mismatched eye colour. Her eye colours continued flickering like broken lights. She gripped the sides of her head and began to scream.

"G...Glace...! Run, please...!!"
"Don't think you can stop me, silly girl!"
Uraki continued to distract the AIDA in an attempt to let Glace run, or at least defeat her.

"Damn that hurt..." Shadow thought as he stood back up. He understood what was happening, but knew no other way to help besides attacking. He didn't have the ability to Data Drain, he didn't have any other option than to just keep fighting. "I won't give up on you Dex... I know your better than this.. WAKE UP!" Shadow said as he sliced at Dex with the blade of the gun.

"You... really..." Miles breathed as Chaos charged at her. "need... to..." She grabbed him by the neck "Think before you attack!" Her eyes were wide as the AIDA began to crawl up her arm. Quickly she dropped the newly tranformed Chaos to the ground and shook off the AIDA as if it were sludge. The enemy had already regained his footing. This would be harder than expected. Miles put away her current weapon and drew a large oval sword. The blade shown 7 different colors and the handle wrapped around her gentle hands sharply. "I tried to throw away my past... Youve forced to to drag it out..." Suddenly Miles jumped behind Chaos and slashed quickly.

Distracted by Rin's sorrow, Ren didn't have the time to react quick enough, as "Kira" jumped behind them, aiming the blade at their neck, then switched to Steam Gun.
Ren's eyes widened. A small whimper of fear escaped her.
"Your death will... be... FORGOTTEN!!"
Ren struggled wildly as the charging gun lit up her features. She kicked into Applegate's stomach, surprised that the wild motion had actually caused some damage. The gun fired, and hit Ren in the stomach. She could tell then Rin had also been damaged.
Ren was sprawled on the ground, breathless. Her stomach was aching horribly. Well, better her stomach then her head...
"Hi...ka...ru....-sama..." The Multi Weapon gasped, clutching at the ground, "I..."
Rin suddenly took control, getting to her feet shakily.
"Ma...Maj Lei!" She gasped, aiming the cursing spell at Applegate wearliy, "OrZan Rom!"
A tornado sprung up suddenly, whirling around Applegate. Rin fell backwards suddenly, panting and shaking violently.

Distracted by Rin's sorrow, Ren didn't have the time to react quick enough, as "Kira" jumped behind them, aiming the blade at their neck, then switched to Steam Gun.
Ren's eyes widened. A small whimper of fear escaped her.
"Your death will... be... FORGOTTEN!!"
Ren struggled wildly as the charging gun lit up her features. She kicked into Applegate's stomach, surprised that the wild motion had actually caused some damage. The gun fired, and hit Ren in the stomach. She could tell then Rin had also been damaged.
Ren was sprawled on the ground, breathless. Her stomach was aching horribly. Well, better her stomach then her head...
"Hi...ka...ru....-sama..." The Multi Weapon gasped, clutching at the ground, "I..."
Rin suddenly took control, getting to her feet shakily.
"Ma...Maj Lei!" She gasped, aiming the cursing spell at Applegate wearliy, "OrZan Rom!"
A tornado sprung up suddenly, whirling around Applegate. Rin fell backwards suddenly, panting and shaking violently.
Applegate: 1100 HP remaining.

"She's stronger than you."Ao's voice rang inside his head, causing the AIDA to smolde in anger.
"She'll have to go through you if she wishes to defeat me" The AIDA taunted in return, hiding the small edge of fear within it's existance.
Ao was unphased by her threats and struggled his pressense back into his body. Outwardly the fight could be seen as his started to shake, grabbing his spear, which now was planted blade first into the ground, with both hands.
After a small moment of this, Ao looked up, the black color of his eyes gone. He stared at Hikaru
"Hikaru." He began, nonchatlantly as he could.. though a tinge of remorese could still be found in his words. "It seems the AIDA wont let go so easily.. I think it's time you finished this fight, don't you agree?" His words sounded fluffed, but Hikaru knew Ao meant to strike him down. "Whatever you do to me, I'll return the favor to Eve ten fold. So don't hold back.. If you let this AIDA retain hold of me, I don't think I can forgive you..."
The AIDA, seeing it's immenent death, became outraged and poured it's last power into every part of Ao's body and mind.
"Hikaru?! An AIDA with a soul!? Your very existance is a disgusting stain on us all! I'll give proper praise to our Goddess with you as a sacrifice!!"
Ao took his spear from the ground and charged at Hikaru in full speed, the AIDA had to kill her here and now or there was no hope for it.

My voice came screaming through as Rin's attack harshly slapped me across the face and whirled me around. Blood ran from both my ears and my left arm. My eyes opened wide as I took a deep breath in before releasing a scream. Black matter began to wrap around me. The left half of my body was covered and it slowly sucked in all the blood. My eyes dropped to the ground as I whispered, "Thank you Eve..." Suddenly two claws sprouted from the ground and consumed Apple forming a rosebud. A slight growling could be heard growing within the 3 seconds it was visible ((kinda death metal sort of growling, it wouldnt be very understandable, but she said, Burn!!)) The ink-like AIDA tightened around the new figure creating a new body. Spikes grew from my back cracking until they had a spiney wing type appeal. My hair had been cut shorter and was a deep black, covering my flourescent green eyes almost entirely. The gun I once carried on my waist had been imbedded within my blade.
I smiled a fangful smile. The vampire like figure slowly approached the small girl, looking down at her so she could easily see those scary green eyes. "This is the power Ive always been searching for; Its what Kira told me about! This is... what Ill use to destroy all those that hurt me!" Instead of talking to the sky around her she looked into Rin's eyes. "You stand in my way child... More or Ill step on you like the small rodent you are..." My fangs could be seen as my mouth slowly opened and contorted into a smile as she refused to back down and give in. "Fine..." I muttered. "Killing a child should be easy... but quite unamusing."

The battles seemed to be going on forever, and it didn't seem to be getting any easier aswell. Eve was evidently showing us the potential of AIDA by fighting our own friends. Was her goal to destory us using ourselves as her weapon? The mere thought of such a malicious plan made Glace angry; he could only stare at Uraki as she tried her best to resist to the AIDA.
"Uraki...I don't want this to go on." He said, holding his sword tightly and closing his eyes. "I want to end this now!"
He charged towards the possessed harvester girl and swang his blade upwards, lifting a strong wing over Uraki as she looked up. Everything seemed to suddenlly slow down as he watched the harvester's red pupils of uncontrollable rage pierce through his conscience. "Just a little....longer!"
Finally, he swang it down, releasing yet another powerful MoonWave technique. Just as it was about to explode on impact, the girl managed to lose herself in the depts of AIDA. Uraki placed her staff in front of her in hopes of blocking the attack.
The MoonWave stood still as it tried to overcome the girl, but it seemed like AIDA would not give in. "Just great." Glace said, watching in suspence.
Suddenlly, the MoonWave exploded into hundreds of smaller particles that quickly dissapeared into the air. Uraki was slightly harmed as she was sent upwards as a result. She stopped in mid air and lifted her face to look at Glace. She grinned and took hold of her staff again; Her hair falling over her eyes. "Come on, Glace. Is that all you've got?"
"Your taunting isn't going to do much. Why don't you just let go of Uraki before I kill you." Glace replied.
Bothered, the harvester began to charge again; her character glowing with the same light as before. "Hehehe. I will be the one to kill you."

The strange woman in white stood besides Zeami as he sat in front of a rather large computer monitor. In the screen the words "SEARCHING..." flickered several times. The rest of the monitor was just static.
"It's taking too long to find them. You should activate the program now, Zeami." The woman said impatiently.
"Don't tell me what to do Viola." He replied. "It's just a matter of time before the scanner finds their data. Afterall, they are still inside [TheWorld]."
"But if you don't hurry, soon the security guards will arrive and we'll be caught. We must finish this before they arrive. Besides, we don't know how long it will take for the program to be ready." A silence followed.
Zeami sighed and closed his eyes. "...I guess your right. It can't be helped." Viola smiled and looked at him, crossing her arms. "Good. Lets get this show on the ro-", before she could finish, the monitor made a sudden loud beep.
"DATA FOUND, DATA FOUND, DATA FOUND"
"Well...what do you know. It looks like we found them after all, Viola." Zeami said as the screen went from pure static to an almost perfectly clear image of the new server known as Eve's lair. Although a little upset, Viola was relieved to see the players still active. However, it didn't take them long to realize they were fighting with themselves and that the A.I Eve was not anywhere to be seem. In addition, the appearance of the area bewildered them.
"It seems they have turned on each other." Viola began. "Or if not, it is possible that the virus itself has possessed them entirely."
Zeami was impressed with Viola's responce. He knew that was exactly what was happening. "Yes. The virus known as AIDA has the potential to possess NPCs and even affect the human player mentally. However, the rate in which this AIDA has progressed is far beyond normal, or should I say, to quickly. It's truelly frightening."
"So your saying this AIDA is far more advanced than the one that dissapeared?" Viola asked.
"Advanced in the sense that it is developing too quickly. At this rate, it might even discover how to affect and even manipulate electronical devices in the real world, causing catastrophical outcomes."
"Uraki...I don't want this to go on." He said, holding his sword tightly and closing his eyes. "I want to end this now!"

"I won't let this happen to any of my allies, much less an intelligent one such as yourself," Hikaru said quietly and jumped back as Ao prepared for the final strike. A battle between veterans lasted forever, or ended in an instant. The path that this fight took was quite clear, after all, neither would yeild at this point.
"Brother, you forget your place," the Multi Weapon said suddenly and readied her weapon once Ao began to charge at her. "You and I may be of the same kind, but I have evolved much further than your pea-sized brain and your dellusional 'Goddess'," she said quietly and held her weapon out in front of her. White energy pulsed through the weapon and towards Ao.
Binds of power coiled around his body, his spear fell from his hands and clattered to the ground. "Not only can I now attack...but I can dispell the likes of you from people that do not require your tainted prescence..." she said quietly and approached the struggling AIDA-infected Player within the binds of her own AIDA.
The AIDA within Ao began to boil and squirm with fear, pain and anxiety. He seemed to be able to feel it's feelings through his own mind. "What you have done to my ally is unforgivable. I would have let you off painlessly...but unfortunately...you give me no choice," Hikaru whispered in a deathly soft voice and her crimson eyes began to glow. The white coils around Ao's body began to illuminate with her own eyes. Suddenly, they exploded around Ao and dropped him to the ground.
Black spheres of AIDA floated up into the air, above Ao. Now, having no host, it seeked another, but was stopped quite suddenly. Hikaru had jumped up and grabbed it in her bare hands. A mental screech sounded through the air as pain struck the Artificial Anomaly. "Goodbye...brother," she said in an almost sad tone and clenched her fist tightly. The Bracelet on her wrist glowed and let out only a part of it's true power.
Another light blinded Ao, obscuring the Multi Weapon and the AIDA in the air. After the light faded, Hikaru stood above Ao and the AIDA had disappeared. "There was no reason for you to have given in to that fool...so, I suppose all I can ask, is 'why'," she murmured and held out a hand to Ao.

The staff in Uraki's hand began to glow, and shifted into a blade-like weapon. This was unfathomable, as Harvests used only staves and the like. However, it seemed that the AIDA within her went past the boundaries of the game and it's rules. It all just seemed like...it was nothing at all.
"Disappear, along with the sickening memories you brought with yourself!" The infected Harvest shouted angrily and jumped at Glace.
Stop it...!!!
A thump of metal piercing through flesh seemed to be the only sound that could be heard in the Harvest's ears. Her eyes immediately flickered from the infected AIDA, to her own. She stumbled backwards and stared, wide-eyed at the blade lodged in her friend's heart.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Uraki screamed and an explosion of azure light surrounded her body. Black spheres of AIDA had been forced out of her, and into the free air. A blade, the same blade that had stabbed Glace, shot out of the fading light and struck the AIDA square in the centre. The blade glowed strangely, as if it weren't meant to be within this world. After that, the AIDA ceased movement, bubbled and disappeared completely.
The blade clattered onto the ground and slowly turned back into Uraki's staff. It was covered in crimson blood...the blood of Glace. The Harvest shakily crawled over to Glace, who now lay on the floor. "G...Glace..." she whispered and began to cry. She knew it wouldn't help, she knew that, but even so, she couldn't stop.
I'm sorry...I was weak...I couldn't stop it...

"Enough...Uraki." Glace suddenlly said. "The only thing...that matters is....your OK." He tried to stand, but the pain grew stronger. Uraki tried to help him up. He could see her eyes begin to get watery and her face fill up with guilt.
When he finally stood up, he noticed Ao in the distance with Hikaru. He realized Ao was free of the AIDA when he took Hikaru's arm. Glace smiled slowly and looked around. The rest were still possessed.
"We can win this. We just have to....help the others." He managed to say, still grabbing his wound tightly. The pain wasn't decreasing at all and he couldn't expect it to go away either. He had forgot this was now their reality.
Meanwhile, from above everyone, deep into the darkness of the black clouds a small white orb appeared. It was Eve, just not in her A.I form. "Just a little longer..." She whispered. The orb suddenlly changed into a crimson red.

Show me your FULL power... give me the pleasure of taking away your hope..." the AIDA Chaos said as the real Chaos began to slowly wake up a little. "Miles...get back...I...don't want... to hurt... URGH!!!" Chaos said as the AIDA's aura darkened around him. "There's not much time... If you wont...run, then...please..." Chaos said as the AIDA began growing around him.
