ive played it, for some reason i didn't enjoy it, too futristic for me, yoo much lasers.
rogue galaxy had more "touch" in it, i was dissappointed by this =\
WHAT!?!?!?!? how can you not like the bright and cheery sci-fi anime look!?!?!?!?!? lol, i love how its all lasers and stuff ^.^ i hate midevil games, as they're too bland.
played pso a lot, offline onmy gc
followed psu since i found rumours about it, but when it was released, driffted away and not played it yet :/

Yeah Rogue Galaxy PWnt I played both as well enjoyed Rogue more. Couldn't stand the main characters VA

I didn't like it. It's not a bad game necessarily, it's just that it's basically the same game that Phantasy Star Online was. It really doesn't offer anything new in the way of gameplay, so really it's just an extension of PSO. I already beat PSO, maxed out my characters, and collected every item worth having so the idea of doing it all over again in the same fashion just doesn't appeal to me. It may be okay for players who are new to the series, but for people who played PSO, I don't think it's worth the money. Aside from that, the game itself looks great in terms of the design and graphics. I really liked the way the stations looked. That was something I always liked about the game; the stations.

from what i gathered, PSU was different in many ways compared to PSO,well for GC/DC in my view. The fact that you could set up macros for weapons (though you could similarly do that with PSO), and duel wield with certain weapons improves gameplay, considering its a waste to have to change weapons between say, a saber to a handgun. In addition weapon skills were pretty cool as well. but mostly its minor stuff but it plays so much better than PSO in my opinion. Even though i still enjoy playing PSO as well.

From what I played, it wasn't much different with the exception of a couple features. If you read the reviews, a majority of the criticism that it received was because of the fact that PSO and PSU aren't very different.

On Topic: I don't actually have PSO nor PSU, though I have seen and heard about them. I'm interested in picking one (probably psu) up...but I have other priorities right now. As soon as I take care of those, I might just play ....
