Yes I think so they pretty much replace the Adler key's needed for lost weapons in vol 2

You can use them to open up somesort of rift and aguire items as well as level up lost weapons.

Yes, the blue crystals are the virus cores.

No, Avatar Awakening(Which is Data Drain) only gives u virus cores.

fagomangaro. that kinda sucks. oh well at least u get to up ur weapons with them. makes up for it i guess. now let me ask quik the lost weapons, are they still good in game three or are they outshadowed by the new norm items?

The lost weapons are much better than the other normal weapons in vol.3.
However, doppel weapons can still be of great owning even in vol.3, though the attack is much lower than vol.3 weapons. Personally, i was using doppel weapons all the way from vol.2 to the end of Forest of Pain in post-game vol.3.

Btw how do you get to see a new Data Drain with...Kuhn and Pai? only or you have to do some kind of odd thing?...I got mine to Lv.4 and nothing new yet.

The Data Drain animation varies depending on your Avatar Awakening level.
Lvl 1-4 : Animation 1(The 1 which Haseo shoots a beam)
Lvl 5-9 : Animation 2(The 1 which Haseo shoots the Data Drain)
Lvl 10 : Animation 3(The 1 which Haseo fly to the sky and blast the enemies with a big Data Drain, along with Skieth 3rd form)

1 more thing, Data Drain does not net u Virus Cores from any PCs. U can only get Virus Cores from monsters, excluding Doppelganger.

Yeah but come on....just because you dont get cores from the dopple doesnt mean atleast half the people who will play it wont drain him anyway just as a final laugh at him for being such a stub.

I'd like to add that you CAN get virus cores from an AIDA-PC.
