I would say Rosette and Chrono from Chrono Crusade. You knew they were going to die, yet in the end, it was still sad.

Anybody remember Treiz Kushrenada's death on Gundam Wing? Totally sucked. I didnt get to see it till like 2 years after it was aired on Toonami. The way I had heard about it,I thought it was gonna be some grand battle, but when my friend t me borrow his tape, he totally jumpedonto Wufei's trident. I was like WTF?!!!

where's the grand battle i was expecting? is this all? freakin bs, man.

The point of that was that they had a series long rivalry and then he killed himself not allowing Wufei to ever resolve their conflict. It was to spite him. That's why Wufei is still haunted by him in Endless Waltz even though he was long dead.

Yeah I know that, but that still sucked for me, cuz I waited 2 years to see an epic fight and that was all I got out of it. Darn those guys who made it seem like it was gonna be something awesome.

Well the most rescent one I saw was in Kurau:Phantom Memory.
I cried so much during that entire anime.. with the death of Blindt, Reigel, Yvonne and his pair along with the other Rynasapians.. by far the sadest was the death of Kurau's Rynax in the final episode, leaving Christmas to live a life tormented by the pain of loosing her pair.
Of course, then Kurau reappears in the last 5 minutes.. harking back to the origional appearance of Christmas in the first episode.. which made me cry even more, oddly enough, for it was such a happy ending. XD

I would put spoiler quotes around this.. but I doubt anyone is every going to watch Kurau.

Mine is also Maes. I thought he was actually going to get away and then, bang bang! Lord, I actually cried.

My other one would have to be the Wolf's Rain boys. The story was generally heartbreaking, but damn. I was so emo for the next few weeks. >.>;

I was also choked up at Riku's death in Blood Plus. Diva was such a ****.

WTF...everybody loved Maes...man...everyone cried during his death...I watch it almost once a week and i still get choked up.Cool dood...cool dood...
Another said death was...Kenny from South Park...All 120 something times....

And I forgot about Wolf's Rain. I don't think I was sad, but thought "...sucks for them...". Don't get me wrong, it was an awesome series. I don't remember it very well...
OH, didn't Blue's "owner" die? I just remembered that, that was very sad...
