"Well, it's not like we're going to turn around and go back to Mac Anu and have a cup of tea," Hikaru said and smiled sheepishly. She held her weapon beside her like it weighed nothing. The wound in her stomach had gone and she already looked like sh was ready for another battle. However, she had a look in her eyes that Glace noticed. A weary look of a sorts.

"Um...one moment, please," Uraki suddenly spoke up in her soft voice and drew out her staff. She closed her eyes, then began to sing something softly. The others recognised it as the music that played in the background of the cathedral. As she came deeper into the song, a bright azure light began to glow around her and seven azure spheres appeared, then floated around her.

Once the song concluded, the spheres of light shot towards each of the other Players and entered their PCs. A sudden wave of refreshment and strength shot through them. "It won't do much, but...but I hope it'll help," Uraki mumbled shyly and stared at the ground.

"Well then, pardon me for being blunt, but what are we doing here? Let's get going!" Chaos says as he checks his inventory, goes over his skills once more, and prepares himself mentally for their upcoming battle.

"Hold it, Chaos. If you keep rushing into things in the manner you do, YOU'LL be the reason of our defeat," Hikaru said sternly and shook her head. "Remember that Rin and Ren are still children, along with Uraki. Miles has been damaged physically, while causing Applegate to snap. There have been too many injuries to go along just yet," she explained to him and sighed.

"We need to let them rest, at least for a minute. Unless you want them to be killed by Eve," Hikaru said the last sentence with absoloute bitterness in her voice. It seemed she didn't like Eve very much, yet nonetheless, she remained silent afterwards.

Glace stood amazed at the overwhelming feeling of purity that spread like wildfire inside of him as the white orb entered through his chest, where Adam had pierced Glace with his arm. He felt relaxed and fresh; almost ready for another battle with Adam.

"Thank you, Uraki. You may not realize it, but I think what you just did really helped out alot." Glace replied and turned to see Chaos. "I think Hikaru is right. We should wait just a little and get ready for our next fight. Something tells me our next battle with Adam will be twice as hard."

"Sorry... I lost my head in the moment there. Yes... let's rest. We should rest in town. This way we are less likely to be attacked while we are weakened, and we will also be able to gather supplies as well as information from the admins." Chaos said calmly as he relaxed a little. The gravity of the situation hit him suddenly. Unlike the fight with Mydraal, he hardly was injured during this fight. He made bold statements, but in the end, he'd done the least. All he'd succeeded in doing is getting them in more trouble with his statements.

"I'm sorry I didn't do as much to help this time. I promise you that I will do more in our upcoming battle..." Chaos said sadly as he turned to Miles. "Miles... you and Applegate are going to be needed in this next fight... I am almost sure of it. We'll need you and her, as well as myself and the other players with us now." He thought as he looked at her calmly before turning back to Glace. "Well leader? Do we wait here where we can defend ourselves, but are more accessible by an enemy attack, or do we gate to town where we will be less likely to be attacked, but unable on the most part to defend ourselves if the unthinkable should happen." He asked, calm and stern.

The Sound of Mada's Dying Gasp, Eve squealing in my grasp, Aura's Mournful Cry...

Adam was humming in his own area, having sat upon a throne as fire was travelling everywhere forming the land, the boy having giggled as he stood up and waved his hand as the area had calmed down and the lava had dried up and revealed nothing but the gaps and earth as he was forming everything like a God creating. " Things need to be done...those admins can't interfere either. I'll need a supercomputer...then again. " He whispered, raising his head up to the sky as he waved his hand again and a pair of screens opened and revealed Mac Anu and Lumina Cloth to him.

This was those humans would be used for, their computers will be more than good enough since their easting it on a game. Adam giggled and took out a apple, a faint glow coming as it turned into an orb of light and went towards the screens splitting into two as it went inside both screens.

A ping of email had spread among the millions of users, having a few of them raise their heads and check up on the news or update that was happening.

The mail itself was strange, the user having been titled Minoshiya himself as it came from his member address and the email was titled " Want a Bite? "

The contents were just an invite for an event, having given them the choice to accept and join in as the option was given soon after a person had read it thoroughly. Those who had accepted had gained a item which was an apple, a program having been installed into their computers as it ran through and then went to the other member addresses the person had, infecting the person along and anywhere else.

Adam had giggled as more screens were appearing around his area, a few of the people taking in the apple as their PC's had suddenly jumped to lvl 150 and their status inreased. " That's it...give me the connection to the real world. " He had whispered, knowing CC Corp was most likely trying to stop the emails, having been simply hacked from the amount of computers that had accepted and those who were broken into with the virus spreading through the world soon enough.

*Ping*
Dex glanced at his email and gasped.
"Uh guys, I think we have a BIG problem on our hands....I just got an email, I'm not sure what it means but 'Minoshiya' is the name of the sender....and its about an event...." Dex glanced at Glace and Hikaru. "What do you think we should do? This could be our next big lead."
I've got a bad feeling about this. Dex thought to himself.

Hikaru sighed wearily and opened up a holographic blue screen. "Why does he have to bring in millions of other people?" she growled angrily and began to type a number of codes onto the screen. Suddenly, an explosion errupted from Hikaru's screen and a shock-wave of azure energy sped through 'The World'.

"I've managed to hold off his program, but I couldn't stop the Players that already used the item," Hikaru said bitterly and began to work on another code. "I'll set out to delete it, but it's protected quite heavily. It'll take me some time," she muttered and a blue eyepiece formed in front of her left eye.

Another screen showed up and showed the amount of Players accepting the proposal, which was rising higher and higher with each second...

"Damn human temptation. What does Adam want with these players?" Chaos asked Hikaru, thinking that since she was a fellow AIDA herself, she may be able to answer that question.

"Hey! I'm two years older then both of them!" Ren shouted, gestering to Uraki and herself (Meaning to point to Rin), "I'm not a child! Well... I'm old enough!"
"Ren, just sit down..." Rin murmered wearily, yawning and forcing their character to sit on the smooth floor, "Thank you for what you did, Uraki-san!"
Ren turned away from the rest of the group with a loud "hmph", but she couldn't ignore them for long.
"What's this about infected items or whatever?" The older sibling muttered, glaring at the rest of the group from over her shoulder, "That guy's crazy! Trying to drag even more people into this! Chaos' question was a good one, what does he want with them?" She asked, staring expectantly at Hikaru.

Ao found a more comfortable position sitting on the ground as his spear rested against his left sholder. He thought aloud, like he often did, about the possible outcomes. "An Apple of Temptation.. It seems Adam's fallen to nothing more than a Serpent of the Garden now.."

Ao paused again to think then continued. "So many outcomes.. Is it an poison apple, I wonder. Sent down to plague an outdated world, wiping them off this planet.. Or is it one of power? A false sense of immortality, used by a cynical God to shepred the masses to his whim."

Ao sighed, rubbing his head. "I don't get it. At least not all of it. The apple is an extention of himself. Another peice of AIDA, perhaps. He's more than likely infecting the players to more easily manipulate.. But to what extent? How far can the hands of God reach, I wonder.. Past the boundries of Heaven and Earth..? Past the boundries of this world and the next..? At the very worst, our opponents have grown from one power A.I. to well.. Everyone.."

Ao didn't notice the thick air of gloom that followed his words, to him it was all simple speculation anyhow. There were any number of things Adam could have been planning. These were only the immediate ideas that came to mind.

Hikaru swore angrily when she saw the horrendous amounts of people who had already accepted the requests. "Oh for--" she growled and began to type faster. She ignored the questions for the moment, but she kept them in her head at the same time. After a few moments, a message appeared above one of her multiple screens she now had out:

Program: LOCKED

Hikaru sighed wearily and shook her head. "It won't last long. Give it approximately 2 hours and then the lock will shut down. We don't have time to spare anymore," she said and shook her head again. The eye piece disappeared from her face and the screens faded into nothing.

"What Adam wants..." Hikaru repeated Chaod's question and sighed. "Just because I am an AIDA like him, it doesn't mean we think in the same manner. After all, you've seen our differences," she said, indicating the battle they had just fought. "But what he wants...he needs connections to reality...connections to your world," she told the others and looked at each of them. "These connections...he can spread something not just through this world, but through yours as well. If what I think is correct, then I think Adam intends to destroy you all...to destroy humankind. He's trying to make a world...a world completely for AIDA," she said sadly and sighed again.

"But what you said may also be right, Ao. What's happening now...it may be more than we can handle," Hikaru whispered and then looked at the twilight that was now almost completely broken through the clouds. There was silence that followed this talk, but it was one of thought rather than awkwardness. "But...we've lost Minoshiya...I'm sure we're all capable of working that out," she said quietly, her voice no more audible than a whisper.

Uraki sat down beside Rein silently, her eyes wandering along the ground and at the sky. Her eyes were half-open, as if she were in a daze. "...To take over a world...to bring forth another generation..." she whispered and trailed the spaces between the stones with one of her fingers. "To make AIDA rule a world...to him...humans are unnecessary...unworthy..." she murmured and then fell silent again.

Hikaru sighed and looked at the doors of the cathedral. "So many things have happened in this single area," she said quiely, then looked at the others. "We don't have much time left," she spoke up and broke the silence. "I've stopped the confirmation on the Flash Mails, however, it doesn't mean they won't be sent. It's obvious most Players will accept it, meaning that within 2 hours, the Emails will be distributed to everyone. If we fail to defeat Adam within that time, the lock will be lifted and each of those Players will have the decision to choose," she said and picked up her Scythe and traced the hilt with a hand.

"Now tell me, are we ready to defeat something that wishes to wipe out humanity?"

"I don't know why... but I think there must have been more of a reason for Mino to have given us these weapons than to just for show. There's something about them that raises my curiosity. I think he gave us these weapons in the hopes we'd be able to defeat him and Adam. If he's truely lost, if he truely couldn't have helped us, that may have been all he could do for us. This may make some of you guys, especially those from the locked inccident, uncomfortable, but we must put aside the idea that Adam and Minoshiya are one. Mino is probably as good as dead now, he seems to be barely alive thanks to Adam's power. If we remove Adam, chances are he'll die as well. However if we don't remove Adam, then we will not be able to save the rest of this world. There is an old saying... it's better to lose one life and save 1000, than to lose 1000 to save one. We're trying to save more than 1000 people, but the sacrifice may be still just the one. This may sound cold-hearted to say, but if Mino has to be killed to save the world, then we must. I'm sorry if the idea upsets anyone, but I doubt we can save him now. If we try to, our attempts will lead only to an inevitable end of both our worlds. We have to take him out." Chaos spoke, his words ringing in the calm, quiet area.

"However... Hikaru, think you can send out a counter program? If what I'm to understand is true, Mino plans to merely use these people for his own twisted purposes. If there are that many people, we'll need a few more members. We'll need re-inforcements. I don't know about you guys, but fighting through every other player just to get to the main boss will be hellish. He will probably have them all defend him, in order to weaken us and tire us out, making us easier targets. At least that's probably what I'd do in his position. We'll need more power, more numbers, and a miracle." Chaos finished speaking, calming down again. He looked to the others and then back to Hikaru, awaiting a response from one of them.

"We'll need more power, more numbers, and a miracle." Chaos said.
"I dont agree, brute muscle can only go so far. If we involve more people, we run the risk of endangering more plus the fact that they may be infected with Adam's virus. I say we hurry and defeat Adam before Hikaru's lock is removed, I'm not sure what that virus will do to those players, but I'm not really interested in finding out so time is of the essense." Dex looked around at the group. "I think the answer is clear: We should end it now. The only question is where Adam and Mino are, so Hikaru if you could track the email that would be great, or if the system can track it from the outside that could also work."

I sighed. "This battle seems like its making us lose our sanity... just look at me. Im lost..." I breathed between each word and rested my hands in my long gaping sleeves.

I ignored Dmitri almost entirely except for the event thing. "An event eh? When Eve ate Mada she told me it was an event as well. Its up to you guys to decide if we should trust it... Id say yes, since everything in this battle has been long and harsh and if we run into an enemy all the better... right?" I lectured as I drew my new blade and swung it around a couple times. "...feels just like it used to..."

((in response to your statement Apple, no she's not. Hikaru saved her [in the last few pages I think]))

"Well then... if he's going to have large numbers coming after us, like he did with Mydraal, only a LARGER amount than before, then who is going to end up left with cleaning up those guys? We all know now, first hand, how powerful Adam is... If he makes use of all those players by convincing them that it's 'part of the event' and they attack us, I doubt we'd be able to take them all on. The guys we fought back before Mydraal were barely shells of their real selves, zombies if you will. If there are real players fighting us this time, I doubt we'd stand a chance. So maybe you believe we don't need more power, despite how easily Adam served us our own behinds just a few minutes ago, maybe you don't believe we need some help, but you must admit... with or without more power or help, we will still need a miracle." Chaos said grimly as he thought about all that was going on, all that had occurred, and began to speculate all that could happen.

"Not to mention.." Ao chirped up, adding another peice to the puzzle.

"... Who knows what will happen to those players if we 'kill' them. Adam said himself that this is more than just a game now, didn't he? Maybe the secret is in our new found weapons. If they're strong enough to scar such a powerful being.. What can it do to normal players..? Though I doubt it needs to be said, let it be known we're at a very steep disadvantage. If worst comes to worst and he does use the players against us. We simply can't just strike down the people we swore to protect... Can we?"

"That's what I'm talking about. We need people whom do not have these weapons... people whom are willing to help us and have enough skill to back us up. If nothing else, we need some way to lag them up. If we can generate enough of a lag in there to affect them and not us, we should be able to slip past them without having to hit a single one. So... if only we knew someone whom could write a program to constantly flood everyone with e-mails. Even if they didn't answer them, it would still slow them down for a little bit to load each of the mail alerts. Send them a couple hundred, and their computers should overload and crash. By doing so, we'd be able to go by them while their pc's are in-active. I don't want to hand that job off to Hikaru, as she's working on keeping the virus from Adam's email from spreading any further... Hold on... Glace. Do you have the member addresses of any of the admins? This task sounds like something they should be able to do from the safety of their offices, wouldn't you say?" Chaos finished, asking Glace the last question and then allowing the silence to fall upon them once more... if even for a brief moment.

At the mere mention of dragging other Players into this, Hikaru turned her eyes directly at Chaos. "So, you expect us to ask over 12 million people to help us to defeat an anomaly whom almost everyone thinks is a rumour?" she asked quietly and shook her head. "To do so, would mean putting too many lives at risk. We already have too many people with us, we can't involve others now. It's too late, even if we wanted to," she protested with a slight tone of anger in her voice.

It was obvious she was strongly against dragging in other innocent Players into this mess. "This all began with the LOCKED incident. Let the ones who started it finish it off," Hikaru said in a more calmer tone. After that, she opened up another screen and it showed the number of people that had already accepted the Flash Mails.

"It's already gone up to over 3 million. We don't have time to generate anything. However, I can create a system lock down, if it helps," Hikaru suggested and opened up another screen which glowed bright crimson. "It won't negate the effects of those who have already accepted, however, it will stop their actions and movements. Other Players who ave not accepted the mail will be kicked out of 'The World' until my lock removes itself," she explained to the others in a rushed manner and began to enter codes to the crimson screen.

"But once again, this system lock also has a time limit. 2 hours, the same as the lock for the Flash Mails," Hikaru said, a serious expression had found it's way onto her face. "I can track it, but the answer is obvious. Adam has distributed these things," she grumbled, then sighed. "I'm afraid we don't have much more time to chat. Time is of the esence."

Uraki had turned around to look at the Chaos Gate within this amount of conversation. She didn't feel that this area was going to be safe soon...but then again, they couldn't return to Mac Anu either. They had no time...not the mention the horrendous amount of infected Players...their escape routes, they were blocked.
