they almost lost me in X2 but 12 brought me back with its new battle style.

I ended up plying XII just for the battle system. In fact, I was more attached to the characters in X-2 than the ones from XII--I hope XIII remedies that.

I just paid $60 for ff7 whats the big deal? so fair it is not very fun and the story does not pull me in

wow, and I got it free for nothing* when I was 6.......
and it DOES have huge hype (hope I used it correctly),
but, that doesn't mean that everybody will like it.
It's your own opinion as far as I'm concerned.

^ Highly doubt it. The trademark, alone, is a huge money-maker for SquareEnix. Even if the numbered seres ever dissipates, which I don't think it will, anytime soon, there'll always be spin-offs.

Verses does look better and i like the charecter better, but final antasy spinoffs usualy arent as good. Like FF7: Dirge of cerberuss, that sucked but isent ff7 the best? ( ive only played XII).
