I think it looks really great, but there isn't enough info on it yet to make any kind of real judgment. Aside from that, each Final Fantasy game that's released is a grim reminder to me that this franchise will never die.

Well,back in '87,Square was hard up for a hit.Well,if the first Final Fantasy was a flop,it would have indeed be the FINAL Fantasy.That's the origin of the name.And you know the rest.

I just hope that the battle system really stays how they showed it to be in the
trailer with the girl

Verus does indeed look good,with the trailer of the Gilgamesh wanna be guy.And XIII's battle system seems to e that the ATB was taken out because people hated the wait.And its more of a Action RPG look to it.

They wont put the waiting battle system back in and there are numerous reasons why here are 2 of them.

The waiting system is that they have to switch between screens and with FFXII non loading screen and seamless adaption into battle is good, If it was back in the old days in catridges like on the SNES and NES where the battles were seemless fine but now waiting for battles is a big nono and your losing them to MMORPGs.

Most of the battles are mundane which consists of pressing the fight button for around 90% of the battles which is a meaningless wait in the load time. Having the computer control your other characters solve this so you dont have tap the butttons every ten seconds. KH does this and was a massive success so people are more or less gearing towards the Action style of gameplay.

Umm the second pic with all the swords are from FF vs XIII. I've heard its alot like KH series. but that games does look awsome both ffxiii and the vs xiii game

On another ff note... they seem to be getting so complicated, remember when it was all about getting to the final boss and saving [insert pointless important thing here]?

The graphics look very good.
