--Where did these "rumors" come from? *spoilers*

Actually, it's more than one.

This contains a few spoilers, but nothing you wouldn't know if you don't already know about Azure Kite and Pai's offline identity--but I'm putting it in the volume three section just to be safe.

I have a friend who's claiming that there are multiple versions of Azure Kite. He claims that CC Corp made them--one to prevent the Twilight Incident from happening, one to repair data, and...I don't remember what he said for the third.

So he's saying that Azure Kite, AND the Azure Flame God, are collective parts of some kind of software that CC Corp made.

I've been under the impression that Aura created Azure Kite. Not CC Corp. And that she created Azure Balmung and Azure Orca, too. That she created them because of the looming dangers of The World but their creation was incomplete because she was forced to bring them online earlier than she'd intended to.

Hell, I KNOW this right. I've seen so many people say this, including AuraTwilight and Kuukai, that I know it's not wrong.

What the hell gave him the idea that CC Corp made three Kites? Does it actually even HINT at that anywhere?! He claims it's "not in the games." Then where is he getting this from?

I keep trying to tell him how Azure Kite really came about, but he just won't listen. Even when I tell him to look at dothack.wikia.com or read the spoiler threads on dothackers.net. He. Just. Won't. Listen.

SOMEBODY HELP BECAUSE I USUALLY KEEP MY COOL BUT FOR ONCE IN A VERY VERY LONG TIME I'M LOSING IT AGAIN

...And he also says there's a rumor that Pai is played by Ouka. What rumor? I've never heard of this rumor and I check out this forum every time I even put my computer on.

I just..ajdhsjkfhksdk don't know how to prove the truth to him. And I know the obvious answer is to be patient and wait until we get the games so I can go "Look, it's right there." So I won't ask for help in opening his eyes (even though I would love it if he'd wisen up and realize he's wrong).

I just want to know.

Are these ACTUAL rumors? Does anyone have ANY idea where he's getting this information from?

It's driving me insane!

Well the rumor of Multiple Azure Kite is ancient since back in Vol.1 they had this ridiculous notion that the Kite who was killed in Vol.1 is fake because he had his hair blocking the wrong eye.

Now it's just been established that Kite is immortal. So that rumor was debunked.

Well, more or less on the same line with "AT", but in a nicer tone, I believe your friend may have made himself believe his own theories or possibly found these rumors somewhere else on the web, and will not shake them from himself until he has been proven wrong by the actual game series themselves.

Well, maybe your friend was just confusing "Multiple Azure Kites" with the "Azure Knights". There are 3 all together. And what he's saying is the old speculation for the Azure Knights, I think... And well, maybe he's just being a stubborn dumbass. ^_^;

And I think I heard about that Pai=Ouka thing. It's probably because they're both the most... the have the largest... uhh...... You do know what I'm getting at, right?

I'm hoping what you said is right, Red Frost, because I can forgive him if he got "Kite" mixed up with "Knight." And..I never realized that Pai and Ouka have the uh...same attributes before. XD

Breasts.
There ya go.
Ouka and Pai both have.....rather large breasts....but then again if you see the //dusk mangas you see that alot of girls had larger breasts in that time period on there characters,so it's not supported to say the Ouka and Pai have anything to do with each other....thats like saying....that Tifa(FFVII) had anything to do with Pai or Ouka.

Like Annwyn said, it's funner to pussyfoot around the word... And I was joking about the breasts thing. I said it because I don't see too many similarities between them... Well, it's been a while since I've read the LotTB manga, and I won't watch the show. Aren't they both supposed to be the "sexy, independant" women or something?

And Annwyn, I hope you feel better. Taking medicine sucks!

Edit: Ha! I learned a new bad word: "Kitty"-foot. The sentence was, "It's funner to 'Kitty'foot around the word." But substitute "Kitty" with another name for a cat.

Now that you mention it, the original games had all rather flats compared to the dusk. just compare blkrose and rena/rachael and rachael-look-alike.

And honestly, I don't know. Ouka and Pai have such different personalities...and wasn't Ouka already around 25 in Legend of the Twilight? Too old to be Pai. Actually, never mind; I don't think they ever say her age, or even her name... But I can't imagine Pai being any four year old genius' tutor.

Yeah, as I've said I realize his rumors are probably 100% fake, but I just couldn't figure out where these alleged rumors came from.

Seeing that this guy thought Mireille was Mistral and not Mistral's daughter, I'm learning not to trust what he comes up with...

Yeah, Pai isn't very old (I think 24-ish?) even though Haseo keeps calling her an "old hag". Still, "unruly child" is an odd term... "Brat" sounds so much better. Anyways, I wouldn't believe your friend either if he's unwilling to listen to reason.
And about Lukan's post... What about Helba? She's pretty... ehh, let's stop talking about breast size...

I'll bet 98% of the people at my school don't know about Dot Hack. Maybe less. Still, I don't see most of my friends anymore, and a lot of them still probly never heard of it. And I'm not very talkative except with my closer friends.

This is probably the only place I can carry on a conversation. It's why I love this board...

nah, the word is *****-foot. its like... say anything that might be the word without actually saying it. and you have a point there... but that might be attributed to the originals being much more serious than Udeden was meant to be.
