Actually Saya isn't tha last vampire. She has a younger twin sister Diva. Also not all the vampires in the series are man made. The ones made by Saya and Diva are true ones.Only second to them.
Anyway i like the series. It's alright but i prefer the movie.

Saya may not be the last vampire(with Haji and all), but she is one of the last of her kind.

I suppose I could use logic to figure this out~

Anybody see Blade Trinity? Well, Drake could walk around in the sunlight, yes? It's the same with Saya. She's like a first copy, her genes haven't been filtered through generations of mixbreeding. So, she doesn't have, what we consider, normal vampire flaws.

-salute-

As for the setting, it's only to show you how old she is... or something.

Makes since on how come she can walk in the sunlight. Well I still think they are failed clones of her. Well why does she spend her time cleaning up what the government caused if they are clones of her? She goes out of her way to Kill what the government caused.

Actually, the Queen of the monsters, the artifical chiropteran, is Diva, which is why Saya's blood is fatal to them. Diva's blood is, in turn, fatal to Saya. The original chiropteran are vampire's cousins(like a less evolved form; ex: humans to monkies), but the ones in the anime are just experiments(made of Diva's blood). The originals were wiped out by Saya and RS.

You really have to watch the entire anime to figure out what's going on. XD Saya doesn't work for the goverment directly, but a group called Red Shield, dedicated to ridding the world of the chiropteran(after their founder gracefully let them onto the world, stupid Joel). Their main enemy is Cinq Flèches Group, which is dedicated to protecting Diva.

Has anyone been watching "Blood+"? They just started giving it on Adult Swim last Saturday. I think the show is about vampire type monsters that were created by some government or military group. And the show focuses on a girl named Saya, who has the ability to kill these monsters. I think she was some type of experiment, too.

She has a special katana that has a groove in it. If she sheds her blood and lets it run down the groove, she can kill the monsters. She did so in the first episode, and seemed like a killing machine. But she's actually a cute, really quiet schoolgirl type. Her personality seems to change when she's fighting.

I kinda like the show, but I don't know anything besides the 2 episodes I've seen. I love the opening and closing themes. And there’s a guy who plays violin! Plus I think Saya’s just cute......^_^;;

Did this show used to be a manga and is the show relatively new?
I LOVE THAT SHOW :D :D :D ...though at first i though naming a show with a name like that was a little..........well........ heh heh i cant think of the word anyway I LOVE THAT SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!! :D IT SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

I really like it too, even though I've just seen the movie and first 3 episodes. I would have seen 4, but [as] pulled a stupid April Fools day joke by giving a Perfect Hair Forever marathon... Pissed-me-off! Although, the show made me laugh... Episode 3 was such a cliffhanger, And I'm pretty sure Saya, or Haji (Hagi?), was gonna kick some ass!

*sigh* I'll just have to wait for THIS Saturday...

Yeah, there's a movie. It's called "Blood: The Last Vampire". It's pretty a good movie, but it's a lil vague and doesn't explain much (hardly anything). It's half in English, and half Japanese (with Eng. subtitles). There's a link to the trailer on the 1st page.

Yeah, I'm always on a cliffhanger at the end of an episode. I hope George makes it... T_T And I really like David, he just looks cool. And he beat the crap out of Kai (Kinda mean, but I understood why). And that German guy (European, whatever) who's always eating candy is funny as hell.
What's that guys name?

Ah, here's the current opening and closing:

I love both of those songs so much.

Yep, the music [link] is composed by Han Zimmer.

The movie and the series have got to be one of my all-time favorite anime shows. The movie did leave a lot of questions, but in itself was probably one of the best detailed animations I've yet to see (and I've seen plenty in my lifetime). Just as well, since it seems like a habit; the movie makes you question and so does each ending of the series.

The series is really good, and to just see Saya's development along with the storyline is even better. I really love how they tied in real life events into the story to make it more realistic.

I wonder if AS will pick up the second season. I know that the FUNimation channel didn't even air all of the Kodocha episodes. Different studio, show and channel, but you know, just in case. As for that April Fool's joke, I'm not sure if anyone else noticed it, but they continued the next weekend with the following episode, so they didn't skip it. The information on the guide on my TV said episode 5 but the actual episode said episode 4.
