Can't wait for Wild Arms 5, now if Square Enix could get their act together and finally release Front Mission 5 in the states I'll be even more happy.

I haven't even had a chance to play WA4, but I've always found the WA series to be one of the more mediocre, at best, out there. I still love XSEED for bringing SH:FtNW, however! :]

I enjoy Wild Arms, despite the first 3 games pretty much having basically the same plot with different characters in different circumstances, which Wild Arms 4 took a major departure from, and 5 is supposed to be more like 4 but better an also improved the hex battle system from 4 so yea I'm excited that it's confirmed to be coming to the states finally.

I stopped playing Wild Arms after the remake of the 1st one they made for the PS2, it got pretty lame in all categories.

Wild arms 4 looked pretty good but I didn't have the money to afford it..I was buying other things -_-

But I suppose I'll give WA 5 a chance. :)

Don't have to, was just saying I like em is all. I'd never force my taste for underrated/under appreciated games on to any one. Though it could do some good, but then that would make them popular and taint them with evilness and would bring all the heretics and blasphemers!!

*runs off again screaming about the heretics and blasphemers*

Well, I've actually heard from most that WA4 is probably the best in the series. I just haven't gotten around to picking it up yet.

WA 4 gets kind of a mixed reaction a lot of the fans of the series don't like 4 at all mainly due to it getting out of the wild west theme and became more sci-fi like the story actually not being the same Filgaia is becoming a wasteland or is a wasteland and we need to restore it by collecting the weak/dying guardians that get a power boost due to the party's drive and determination and the main bad guys are actually being manipulated by another being well that part is in WA 4.

The battle system was changed more to a strat rpg style battle system instead of being the ATB system of the previous games which also turned off a lot of people, and the tools system was changed as well instead of getting the tools you have with you at all times they just stay in that particular dungeon that you need to use them in.

I liked it because unlike the previous games it didn't share the same basic plot/storyline, didn't go to the same exact dungeon's they were all new the standard monsters stayed the same though even the design of them but that's about it every thing else was changed which was a relief to me.

IMO 4 is the best Wild Arms after WA2, and a lot of people are saying 5 is more improved and better then 4 so yea it has promise in my eyes.

I emailed them back in 06:
Since you are asking for a clear answer, then no, XSEED Games will not
be releasing FM5 here in the States.

As much of a fan as a couple of us here are of the series having
played FM3 and FM4, the amount of time and resources needed to
localize that title just don't add up and would almost surely be a
losing proposition for us. We have to concentrate our limited
resources elsewhere to try to bring other good titles to the US.

We wish we had better news to share.

XSEED Games

Still mad about that but Square need to really release this title. Now that YouTube has a bunch of videos of FM5 the online petition has gone way up. I would import it and just half-@ss my way through the story because most of the menus are in english and the're walkthroughs but i really want to know the story.
So tell me, how does it feel to be in a constant haze of stupidity?

Hmm? I never asked or implied that XSEED was bringing over FM5, just simply that SE should bring it over already because along with Wild Arms 5 it was another game I was and have been looking forward to for about the same amount of time.

Oh I see, well yea XSEED pretty much said it, it'd cost way to much for them to one buy and obtain the rights for FM5 as well as localize it and all that, and the cost would outweigh the profit and would be a loss for the company.

Kind of sucks since SE doesn't seem interested in bringing any thing over that doesn't have Final Fantasy as the title lately.
