Video Games: Are you good at them?
Are you good at video games? Would you consider yourself a gamer? I don't think I'm all that good, but I do enjoy them from time to time. However, I also think video games should be played sparingly; we can't spend all our time in our rooms playing them, can we?

I would consider myself a gamer, definitely. Am I good? No... I'm AMAZING!
Noob and pro alike fear me and tremble at the sound of my name. I eliminate any foe and demolish any force that dares oppose me. I have conquered countless nations, killed legion after legion of men and women, won countless races, and devilishly outwitted even the most skilled of players. FEAR STRIKES THE HEARTS MY ENEMIES AND RUIN AWAITS ALL THOSE WHO DARE TREAD IN MY PATH!
Well, that's the word on the street.

Eh I personally suck at shootem ups. I either shoot at anything that gets in my way and like to keep shooting even when they are dead. in co-op if something comes by a cornor I will shoot at them (Many times its my partners) im more of an RPG person and puzzle solver
I also have tendencies to hesitate in a tight situation since I like to think before I act :/

i'm ok. I wouldn't say that i'm a pro because i'll always get stomp by someone. I love video games and ofcourse sometimes depending on the situation i can be pretty good but that is only sometimes. Most of the time i'm just having fun playing rather than "aiming" to win. (I guess i better start "aiming" to win since i'm in my school video game club)

Well I've beaten every game I've played for the most part, some that I got bored with I never finished though.
I never use/buy guides, I hardly ever look at a walkthrough or whatever until after I think I got every thing to double check it or the rare occasion I get stuck on something which is usually due to me over thinking it and making something more complicated then it actually is.
I never use cheat codes or a cheat device again until after beating the game, to have fun I should really upgrade my cheat device but I don't care about it enough or really need it so I see no point in it.
Not sure if it's due to the year's I've been playing video games or if they just start being made easier, perhaps a bit of both. *shrugs*

Not on Chaos mode. I still get my ass handed to me on that mode.Kouen wrote:I suck at video games period. That's why games like Dynasty Warriors entertain me, because the player is always rigged in that game.
Anyhow
I consider my self good at certian games. I not that good at Tekken I just press the buttons randomly and kick ass. I'm good at RPG's, and I'm good at FPS's. But I consider myself the best Link Player in SSBM down where I live.

Try using a rigged move set, max out your weapon, and max out your stats. The Musou series is easy enough, there are harder games. Like the annoying platformer obstacles in the Rockman series, or games like fighting games that just require pure skill. <_<Vahn Staffear wrote:Not on Chaos mode. Good point. MegaMan X6 annoys the hell out of me as well as the Megaman Zero series.Kouen wrote:Try using a rigged move set, max out your weapon, and max out your stats. I'm just going on what my friend tell me:
Noobs flee from me and my level 60 paladin.
Although I don't know how good I actually am,everyone tells me my gameplay style is truly epic.
I was at my brothers 19th birthday, and I was done helping so I sat down to play kingdom hearts II because I have my memory card, and I went into the sephiroth fight at level sixty-something(was replaying the game and hadn't taken the time to level anyhting but drives) and before I knew it 14 people were in the livingroom beside me watching me play, being as quiet at mice......and hushing anyone who talked......we eneded up having a huge Soul Calibur 3 tournament later that night, and everyone wanted to play against me and my brother, and loved watching us play against each other.
Good gaming skills run in my familiy though...on the male side....and everyone tells me I'm the best out of me and my older brother.
Of sourse,I can't prove it to anyone here,so it's your choice to beleive me or not,but it dosn't matter to me either way.

Command Mission was pretty easy for me because I got EXP =)Zer0 wrote:All the X series and Zero series were easy for me. MegaMan Zero 3 was the hardest one of the Bunch...Zero 4 was the easyest.

That reminds me of the Tekken tournaments we have at my grandma's house. It's funny because one of my uncles always said you were cheating if you were kicking his ass.Azure crow wrote:I'm just going on what my friend tell me:

Well, I dunno. I'm good, but I might be that "Lvl 60 Paladin" thingy too. I try to be modest with everythng, but I think I'm pretty good. People at school will talk about XBox Live/Halo and I'll be around. Then, they say if I went online, I'd probably waste everyone. And I've never played Halo (but they probly suspect I do).
I've been playing since I was lil, and my family (excluding my mom) loves video games. Out of my dad and sis, I'm probably the best. Once, I dazzled my friend (Big gamer) with my skill with the pocket knife in Silent Hill 3. I also really get into a good game, so that helps. All of my uncles on my mom's side love video games. It's probably a family running trait...

Me and my brother are the only ones who liked video games, and he's out west(don't expect you to know what I'm talking about) now,so I can't visit him and play against him.
Everyone else in my family hate games, and playing alone dosn't have the same flare as playing against a human....

hmm, that first poll option is a bit weird.
good at video games isnt the same as spending ages in an rpg just to get more and more experience, well, unless you are terrible and cant do that
i guess over my life, i've just gotten really used to playing games and i've never had any trouble quickly becoming pretty good at any one of them.
for example, the first time i ever played UT2004, was at a LAN, that same day, hours later, i was always just below the really good people at it on the score boards. I only really know one person, that i've played many games with that is just one step infront of me
