It's on the listing for spring lineup, however it's still unconfirmed I believe.

Urg . . . only on episode 4 -__-;; er . . . 3 since it's all mixed up. But I love this show ;D My favorite character is either Haruhi or Yuki; I still can't decide ._.

I believe it has been confirmed. Actually, I think I've even seen a scan from a magazine for it. If I can dig it up again, I'll post it.

For now...I'll describe it: They look like sci-fi like standin in a space background. haruhi, yuki, and mikuru are in the foreground, wearing some skimpy space uniforms, holding cliche space lasers and the 2 guys kinda in the middle ground wearing space uniforms. Nice pic.

Well the last time I heard of Haruhi Season 2 was when people said it was a fan-made rumour. But hopefully a Haruhi season 2 wouldn't kill the storyline. Getting a little romantic with the Kyon X Haruhi relationship will be pretty harsh on the weirdness if they don't pull it off properly.

An anime I finally never heard of and it well known to many people. Seems like I have to catch up. That explains the other forums and a few member signatures.

Really? You've never heard of it? It's quite popular in Japan... It's a nice series. I actually like it. And I don't usually like anime series that are uber popular. Well, I guess that's because it doesn't have major fandom like Naruto does -__-;;

I haven't heard of this one either, but hey it's gotta be worth a look.

I'm a bit skeptical, dispite the fact that so many people are saying how much it rock's, but I got PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENTY of time on my hand's, so I might as well watch it.

Actually The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is a very popular series. So popular it has it's own religion, Haruhiism. Well that's because it was based off Haruhi's role as a god, but still an anime with it's own religion. <_<

Came back: My bad. I got mixed up cuz the pic I glanced over was on a site talking about a possible season 2. I just checked it out and it seems that the whole thing was a hoax or rather a BIG goof up by someone who read the Cover of september's newtype mag and jumped to comclusions b4 actually reading the thing.

xDD yeah. I haven't finished the whole series yet . . . still only on episode 5! Haruhiism sounds fun . . . doesn't it say "Haruhiism" in the opening?

If they decided to make a second season, I could see why. I would just hope that they stopped afterwards. It'd be a shame if they turned Haruhi into another beaten-to-death 3-season anime.

Also, it's Haruhism... not Haruhiism.

Does anybody have any information on if there's going to be an American dub? I remember hearing something a while back, but have yet to see anything on it. I KNOW they're translating the manga, or have already translated it. @.@; -goes back to check-

I will sell my soul - and yours - to get a good dubbing company. I'm pretty sure Bandai's going to be doing it... but I have no idea what I'm talking about half the time. ^.^

If they give Haruhi an annoying beginning actress, or just an annoying voice in general, I will kill somebody. Same with Mikiru, Yuki, Asakura, Kyon, Tsuryu, Emiri, and Itsuki. Everybody else... meh. (Who does that leave? The Computer Club President and Kyon's sister/friends? XD)

If there's going to be a season 2, it'll most likely have to be something new. I think they did most of the stories in the first season.

The official site says this series will have 15,498 (that's right, fifteen thousand four hundred and ninety eight) episodes. Use Ctrl+A ("Select All") to highlight hidden texts.

They know what they're doing. XD

For school we have this film assignment thing where we have to make a film version of this play. Not willing to act, my group is going to take scenes from Haruhi Suzumiya and dub it (lamely) so that we won't be seen by the camera ;D Eh-heh . . . my idea. I kind of regret it now ._.
