Help with Fidchell

Post by Orca Descendant of Fianna »

I just made it to Fidchell but he killed me after like 5 mins because I can't do much damage on him... he zips around and the best i could hit him was like 150... what is the fastest way to get him down to protect break and kill him?

(also are the only people you can bring Blackrose and Wiseman?)

PS: Can someone post a full stroy on here how they beat Fidchell? (PLEASE)
(also on the poll please put what combanation)
Thanks :D

When you data drain Vidchell. Make sure to up everyone in your party has the skill magic defense casted on them and also use items that increase offensive/defensive against elements because he has a skill that will lower your element attribute and use it against you.

I believe... you get Balmung b4 that, so I recommend Balmung and Blackrose attack while you do the healing, I reccommend dd'ing a lot to get a lot of items, sell them, have like, 200k gp, and buy lots of hp recovery items, that's how I beat all of the phases, have lots of hp & mp recovery items. ^.^

Here's my strategy:

Because you need to bring Wiseman and Blackrose, stock up on as many magic recovery items you can, as well as resistance raising items. Bring about 10 of each (Burning Bile and such). When you enter the battle, immediatly tell your partners to begin casting magic. Here's how Fidtchell attacks:

Physical Attacks:
Ground Slam: Same as Skeith's, Damage varies depending on range
Body Slam: Damage is between 200-400ish

Magic Attacks:

This is where he gets tricky. Whenever he is going to cast, he will make a prophecy. Whatever prophecy he makes, that's the element he's going to us. For instance if he says: "And a great flood washed away the unclean," He's going to use a water based attack. In addition to telling you the element he's going to use, he'll also drop your resistance to it. This is when you use the Resistance Items you brought. You'll take 1/2 damage from his attacks, which'll give you time to heal up.

Prophecy Attacks: Damage varies. THE FARTHER YOU ARE FROM HIM, THE MORE DAMAGE IT DEALS! GET CLOSE TO HIM WHEN HE'S CASTING! WITH FULL RESISTANCES, YOU'LL TAKE LESS THAN 100 DMG PER HIT!!!!!!!

As far as dealing damage to him goes, physical attacks and skills work best. Magic works, but Wiseman will be less effective than Blackrose. Set Wiseman to heal, then get up close and wail on him. Just keep on him, and he'll Protect Break eventually.

Time it took me: 22 minutes

Follow this strategy, and the prophet will see his own death very, very soon.

I was about lvl. 67 at the time. I love making the bosses a piece of cake. The exception, of course, are final bosses.
