.... that's nowhere near British Columbia. Go on google and whip up a map of Canada. The dot to the right is near the Atlantic region, I'm guessing the New Brunswick area, the dot on the left, is mostly in the prairies. Alberta, Saskatchewan, but since it's a little to the north, maybe the Northwest Territories. Those dots are FAR from BC and Ontario. -_-

Network problems. Communication problems. Places where there has been a grave irregular action of something (like AIDA actually taking form in real life)haseoxth wrote:TheSorrow wrote:Wee, i'm safe
...Is anybody actually sure they're missiles?? >.> You know, dots in a map can actually mean alot.
what could lines and dots on a map mean?
And personally, if i was AIDA and wanted to send missiles, i would send them to the places with the most technological advance (EU, Russia, Japan, and critical places), and not only to random places, as it shows.

The trailer says: "There is going to be a meltdown in all parts of the world!?"Tadashi wrote:Actually, on the top is written Networksystem and at the bottom "Meltdown". I can't decipher the kanji 'cause the are too blurry, but I'd say this has nothing to do with nuclear attacks.
My guess would be either meltdown in nuclear plants or fatal breakdown of the network in this area.
Makes sense. Alot O.O

On another note, one would wonder how widespread exactly are nuclear reactors during the .hack//GU period. They already have bots with missiles, I'm sure widespread use of nuke reactors wouldn't be too surprising, given that France pretty much runs purely on nuclear reactors and they haven't have had much of a problem with it.
While those are fairly obscure locations, perhaps that is precisely why the nuke plants are located there: Far away from being able to do actual damage.
Firing up Wikipedia Search for "Meltdown" instantly sends me to the Nuclear Meltdown page though, so I was unable to determine other uses for the word at the moment. The only other reasonable disambiguation was "a form of autism-related temper tantrum".
