Yeah, that's his lost weapon. Along with his AIDA arm and his other hand with an axe thing, Haseo was bound to have a rough time with Ovan. Even in an avatar battle...

Alooot more, every GU+/4koma/xxxx ect scans. Someone sent em to me, with the Japaneses text over it so I just read it as it is, instead of bothering to translate it.

Er I meant Haseo's weapon. I didn't know he got it in GU+ who gave it to him?

By the way I've always thought it was possible that Ovan's lost weapon wasn't the gun but actually the axe he has. Why I'm not quite sure I figured it would just be something they might do?

Technically he's not weak..it's just that the artist doesn't wanna use alot of ink on Haseo..I mean..2nd and 3rd form he has..he's practically all black(shading wise), plus considering how 3rd form made him..hunch over and have a tail coming from the back of his neck or something..I wouldn't mind 1st form at all o.o;..and then the 2nd form is like..straps..so many straps..bondage X__X

I think they probably drew Haseo in that manner for GU+ because of an assumption that Haseo wouldn't change form...

...At least, this must've been started before the first game was even completed, and it varies significantly at numerous points.

Ovan has always been freaky in nature unless you're one of the characters who are actually familiar with Ovan. The shining glasses, the cryptic metaphors, seemingly appearing out of nowhere. i saw him do that to Haseo in volume 2 in grima lowe and it literally scared the hell out of me. i think Ovan is awesomely cool though.
