Woah, whoever said I thought Aina being Aura meant she was gonna pull a deux machina and fix everything? I guess I should have said a new incomplete or defective Aura. Really, I totally agree that it would suck if Aura reappeared and saved the day. But I also don't want them to just ignore her completely. She's too important to the entire structure and point behind the series to just go "Oh, she's gone. We're going on without her."
It seems doubtful that they'd leave such a major thread of the plot undone...
.hack is made of of numerous separate stories that take place on one playing field; The World. If they left that mystery unsolved, the series that resolves it would act more like a sequel than any .hack series has done so before.

Well, there's other storylines, obviously, but the New God scenario is where all the other plotlines stem from. If it wasn't for Aura leaving, nothing in GU would be happening. As for who will become God, let's try the only one who's even an AI. Aina.on topic, I'm not so sure about this series being about the birth of a new god. after all, who's trying to gain/who will end up in that spot? Aina, Ovan, Haseo, Shino? 0_o Somone else?
Ovan clearly wants to repair what he's done and set things right in the World.we still don't have the slightest clue what ovan wants. only that he wishes to be defeated by haseo. what is each thing in and of itself...without knowing what exactly the overall goal of the main protagonist is, the story really comes down to bringing Shino back.
AND find the Key of the Twilight, which could be interpretted as helping Aina become God.
Well, Amagi's consciousness probably wasn't pulled into the game. He was just driven nuts. Amagi did plan to make himself into the next Ultimate AI, but the World might not find that acceptable, and totally pwned his n00b ass for it. I think Amagi's punishment was to set an example that one can't "Become" God. You have to be born one, like Aura.lol, I thought the R.A. plan was really to turn Amagi into the next ultimate AI, so it would make sence for Aina to be incomplete; if Amagi turned insane because part of his conciousness was dragged into the game it would of probably been recycled into Aina.
Plus, even if his mind was pulled in, it wouldn't become Aina. It'd become AI Amagi.
Well, without the coma's, the heroes have no incentive to fix the problems in the World. And according to the Anti-Existence theory, the AIDA ARE a toned down Morganna.Anyways, I mainly hope for more of an explaination for what happened to Aura other than "she left, lol" but I'm not sure about how I feel about alot of things in GU, but what I dislike for sure is how AIDA-PCs can put people in comas, it makes them seem like a toned down Morgana.
As for Aura, I'd like to hear what happened to her, maybe Aina would tell us or something, but I don't want her to RETURN. Maybe something like "Aura has left this world because she wanted her creations to be independant. She wanted Man to live without God, and form a republic of heaven. Only through independance could man ever find true happiness. Aura was an unhappy Goddess, and merely wanted to live with her children... No one deserves the cruel fate of being a lonely God, never to make contact with others."

Don't forget the space station and the combat robots mentioned in the Vol. 1 news that are said to play a role.
I doubt AIDA would (and could) simply overtake them and wreak havoc (or do a colony/village drop

I think the part in the 3rd PV where it shows Aina with a look of fear/surprise on her face may be a flashback.
She may be surprised about one of 3 things.
1 - Ovan with his Funkeh new AIDA arm
2 - Another Aida
3 - Piros coming to give her some hot passion
So now, she could be all AIDAfied (Hair all over face like the creepy chick from the ring, black lolita dress. Could also explain the wrecked room) And Ovan was searching for the Key of the Twilight to Fix her.
Maybe she even infected Ovan

harald asking about aura in the forest of pain seems to me to be important. if an harald ai still exists in the world (or R:2) i just can't accept that aura would be completly, totaly gone from the world. I'm not saying i want a deus ex machnia moment to occur with her fixing everything, i just want to know she's still exisiting somewhere in the world

But if Aura is in the World, why would Harald be asking where she is?
Also, Tri-Edge999, your signature is WAY too large. Size it down or it'll be permanently removed.

You got a point there, I thought be a interesting idea. I do hope they explain, I hope they won't leave us hanging.Umbra wrote:It seems doubtful that they'd leave such a major thread of the plot undone...

THE GAME
Her face doesn't move at all. She gives me the impression that she is somehow stuck in that place and in that chair, and can't move from that place by herself...can't say for sure, we have seen too little of her.Maive wrote:I think the part in the 3rd PV where it shows Aina with a look of fear/surprise on her face may be a flashback.
But I wonder why she seems to be floating in the Avatar Space at some point (01:19), clowing blue and she seems to have somekind of book in front of her.
She couldn't the person that is at 01:07-01.08, or then she might.

I'm not so sure of that.Mellow Grunty wrote:Look closely, that's Sakubo.VKV wrote:But I wonder why she seems to be floating in the Avatar Space at some point (01:19), clowing blue and she seems to have somekind of book in front of her.
in fact, I'd say its more likely that's Aina, seeing as though avatar users normally don't have their PC weapons out while in avatar space, and we've seen Aina connected with books earlier in the trailer.
not to mention the whole color scheme is closer to Aina, though the fact the person is glowing means the color scheme could be tinged to a different color than normal. ^_^b
