It's an Easter Egg from the Liminality Discs. They're not canon. Don't ask me why the hell they put them in. They probably felt like they should explain the story, but had to guess on it.

That's a mostly invalid interpretation of something that is true. We know from the quest in Outbreak where Kite gets Lios to work with Helba that a monster does not turn into a Data Bug immediately after it is infected. However, the rest of that was pulled out of someone's posterior.

Except for the bit where some incompetent writer tried to tie it in with the Cursed Wave, that's a close match for Albireo's explanation of the Root Towns and Chaos Gates in AI Buster.

It seems to basically tell a small part of the AI Buster novel, when  Albeireo fights a creature that he thought was part of the Lycoris event, in the root town.

How in the heck do u access all the extras, it should be the same in the UK copies right? Do i need a DVD/PS2 Player, or do they have 2 be done on a pc, and can u do how i access them on all 4 vols ive had enough of it driving me mad

The Liminality Extras are exclusive to the North American version. They're not in any other version. Not that it matters as the majority of them are false info anyways.
