it's just to show off the power of your comp., if you put a lot of money into something you'd want to show it off! I assumed there would be SOME people on this board that know what i mean and have custom built computers, and of course i knew there would be people who just buy the store-packages (which, again im assuming, is you?)

Not really. My friend helps me
out with the computer stuff that
helps me with my art. So, I know
what I have, I just don't understand what you
just posted.

nVidia = leading graphics card
Intel = Leading CPU with the new Core 2 Duo.

Conclusion: nVdia and Intel at the moment is your best combination.

that´s quite easy.

for video cards: NVIDIA without a doubt

for processors: AMD is better, but now that Intel relased their core duo processors, let´s see how AMD will counter this.

Well, I did have an Intel P4 3.2GHz processor and a eVGA nVidia Gefore 6800GT (256MB). However, that computer got fried by a power surge so it's very possible I'll be replacing them with an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13GHz and a nVidia Gefore 7900GT. Like I said, Intel and nVidia are on top right now.
