sorry if theres another topic on this, i used the search and couldn't find one so i started a new one.

anyway, this topic is for discussing the upcoming PSU game scheduled for a fall release on the PS2, PC, and XBox360. if you plan on getting it or have thoughts on it please feel free to share them. PSU is supposed to have both a single player (where you play as Ethan Waber a 17 year old) and an mmo mode (where you design your own character).

One thing I like about PSO was the subtle story, you didn't have to find out anything. But you had the option to flollow the story, and what happen's when you get to the end? Noting offline... online I think some rare items or something...

I'll get the PC version if i like it enough... but if I have to pay much for online service... I'll just stick to my war server.

i plan on getting it but the price of the online service may determine what i get it for. if the price is too high ill get it for the PS2 jus for the solo play without worrying about my comp screwing my over. if the online price is alright then ill get it for the PC. I can't wait to see how this turns out. the guys at GAME INFORMER got to test the solo mode and they found it to be really fun, even though there were some bugs still in the system. The character creation for the online mode seems to be alright too. Can't wait

well i'll get the PC version just cause my PS2 doesn't have online mode.
well i just hope sega doesn't make us play for PSU like what they did for PSO:BB first i play solo mode just cause sega said it be the longest solo mode that they put in Phasatasy Star Games. maybe i'll buy it if i have some money from G.U.

Not only has Sega said it countless times
You can find it listed on PS2,PC And 360
And even the topic creater has listed it

no i ment sega lied to me since sega said it was only going to be for the pc and ps2

i have a few pics in the magazine i found the info in and it looks pretty good.
I jus hope hackers and glitch exploiters don't screw up this one too.

i played PSO1 and 2 on GC, and i was hoping this one would make that route too, but its ok, i have an internet ready PS2, so i'll be all...playing it...online and stuff...

Err, I did.......It's not that I don't like it.It's just that my Computer crashed so I can't play it.Also,my PS2 doesn't have online play.

lol its all cool, but remember, the single player is supposed to be really good too.

as to the offtopic thing about my sig, i already know about the updated version of the sigs but since i was the only one who had this sig for a good 3-4 months (i didn't have the quiz up till recently) i think ill keep this one for a while to come.

I've played the other version on the Gamecube and stuck at it. The trailer I saw on Cinametech of Phantasia Star Universe looked great. But I think I'll pass on this game.

I still remember playing PSO Episode 1 & 2 when they first came out, pretty intresting game, might look into this too I suppose.

I won't be getting PSU if it was anything like PSO. Really, PSO was only interesting for about a month or so. You can only play through same, short story so many times. After that, it's nothing but pure grinding and item collecting. Then once you've done that, there's nothing left to do but re-roll. And do it again.

Anyways, if PSU wants my vote, it'll have to be a LOT less linear.
