What level should I be...

when I fight magus? I'm level 49 right now, and I was wondering how
much further I should go before I fight magus in mutation.

Magus isn't difficult as long as you destroy his leaves to prevent eath and rebrith, you're find as is in my opinion.

Magus is the boss at the end of Mutation, right? If you're around level 50, you should be fine. But if you want to be certain, you can always train a few more levels.

Magus is the very last thing you fight in mutation...

After beating him in Net Slum you go back to town and everything is screwed up. That's the end of the game.

Magus was at the end because after you beat it, Net Slum begins to fall apart and then you gate back to Carmina Gadelica and that's when the servers get all messed up. Bla bla bla BlackRose says "What the hell happened? You're kidding....right?" or something like that, drops her sword and that's the end. If I remember correctly.
Or maybe you said that to show how short the game was...I'm usually oblivious to things like that...

You should be at a good enough level right now. If you want to be safe, levelling up a bit doesn't hurt, either.

Level should be fine the way it is. Make sure your party has good equipment. That's very important too.

The Magus fight isn't really about level, it's more about skill and agility. As long as you keep destroying the leaves before any of the timers run out, you're fine. Of course, as you do that, make SURE your buddies have Magus as their designated target. You focus on the leaves, and make sure they focus on Magus.

Of course when Magus stands alone looking showered with dust, you can hack at it too. But as soon as it's done doing that, get back to the leaves. Stay in this process and you'll be alright.

I mean, for some people, you might want to be level 80 for a CLEAR win, im gonna get mutation in 3 days, and my friends say that Magus can be a annoying monster at time to time.

I whos at levol 50 but you cud do it at the levol your at as long as you kill the leves(note thar will be mor than one rond of leves thal kep cameing until you data dran maguss
