Keywords for Rare Items

Detestable Agonizing Holy Ground 2F contains "Hell's Gate" Lvl. 14 Twin Blade Weapon

(Notice the phrase hints toward supreme diificulty but it's very simple.)



There's also another great reward, that's mainly good for it's skill draining ability, but it's good nonetheless. Found at the bottom of a 3 floor dungeon

While there are places with rare items that the game itself will give you (like, the place Gardenia/Sanjuro/Natsume sends you), there are only three places with rare items in Infection that the game doesn't give you.

Delta, Voluptuous Her Remnant: Kagayuzen. Light body armor, has Miu Lei (Charm).
Delta, Hideous Organ Market Scaffold: Ice Bar. Has no use until Mutation, DON'T SELL IT!
Theta, Dog-Dancing Passionate Tri-Pansy: Ceramic Helm. Too heavy for Kite to wear, but it could be very useful on a heavier class character like BlackRose, cause it has Rig Saem and Rig Gaem (regenerate HP/SP). VERY helpful.


Also a note, the Hell's Gate isn't rare, you can get it from the Spring of Myst. In fact, it's the highest one you can get from Grampa in Theta in Infection. Dante's Blades are actually higher, and are not rare either, and although they are available in Infection, they are too high for any Myst Spring to access in Infection. You must get them by DDing the Tetra Armor. Only in Mutation and further will you be able to get them in Springs of Myst.
As a matter of fact, every class has a weapon in each volume (except Quarantine of course) that's too high for the springs in that volume's highest server, but can be obtained some other way, like from a monster or something. Quarantine also has weapons that are too high for it's server, and the only ways to get them are from monsters or from trades or Gott statues.

Hmm? I got Dante's Blades from ... well... look above, in my game I refuse to Data Drain unless it is for cores, I also solo, It really adds a whole new experience to the game.

Yeah... you can get just about anything non-rare from Gott statues. But for some, that's the only option. Designated keywords for specific items are hella hard to come across, I wouldn't have doubted there's a Gott statue out there that would carry Dante's Blades, just never even thought about it since Tetra Armors are faster

But Xu, if you're avoiding DD as much as possible, I would have to consider you very lucky to find those Dante Blades, and here's why.

But you are aware that the Gott statue won't ALWAYS have it, right? Except for the secret keywords and the ones given to you in the game, Gott statues usually regenerate when you leave the area, and entering the same keywords may get you a different item the next time. I'm pretty sure every Gott statue in a random area, for any set of keywords, there are four or five different item posibilities. Like, say (totally random) I choose to go to "Collapsed Forbidden Secret Tower", I can keep using the Sprite Ocarina and getting the statue over and over, with a 1/5 (or maybe 1/4 or something in that vicinity) chance of getting whatever I get there, since it has 5 items. I have no idea how it's determined though, it's completely randomly given. But, no matter what, it'll always be the same selection of items, in whatever game you load, that are in those keywords. Each random combination of keywords has five selected random items that are near the level the area ends up being.

It's kinda like field attributes that aren't there. Like, if you choose to go to field X-Y-Z, and none of the words affect... say... time of day, and it's night there, area X-Y-Z will always be nighttime, no matter what you do or what you say. It's like it's randomly assigned to that specific combination.

So basically, I find Data Draining a hell lot more reliable than Gott statues. Plus, you never find rare items in random Gott statues, only the ones from the secret DVD keywords and ones from various events in the game. All other ones just have a non-rare item a little above the field level.

The ONLY time I find getting items from Gott statues nescessary is when I'm in Quarantine doing the item list and looking for an item that's too high for Omega's Grandpa to make, no monster has it drainable, no NPC or Grunty has it to trade, leaving Gott statues my only option. Basically, some items like the Baian you just have to keep going to Gott statues in random areas of that level until you get it. I swear, if it wasn't for Gamefaqs, it would have taken me MONTHS just to find the Madlance, Baian, Gungnir, Rugrats Nights, etc.
I even wonder how the ones on Gamefaqs found it themselves, I looked all over, in places that were in a similar level to the one they suggested, and got nothing I needed. I'm sure someone must have hacked the game or something... or got lucky.

Anyway, good job finding those Dante Blades... you better not forget those keywords!

Don't you all know non-event gott statues only give out random items? It picks an item from a list compared to the level of the dungeon. You can't just say, "Everytime you go to this dungeon you will get this item." You should just go to a bunch of dungeons that have that level and maybe you will find something. The best way to get weapons is to either go data draining or to the springs.

The same as u, but why do the OAV keywords always give the same items (not talking about the special item) as well?
Do u know anything about Fragment, is it in English, and where can i buy it without restrictions to other countries?

I went to the first set of keywords you gave me and I went down to the gott statue (nearly got killed, hardly an "easy" dungeon) and all I got was a lightning cap. This makes me mad.

Almost every combination of keywords have about five items designated to it's Gott statue. The statue always regenerates, and every time you go there it's a random one of those five items.

There are a few exceptions. The ones that are always the same thing, and they don't regenerate. And, those are ONLY the OVA keywords and most of the ones given to you in the game itself. Like the event with Rachel and the Love Archery, or Sanjuro and Natsume's rare weapon quests... and Gardenia usually leads you to a book item. Of course there are some dungeons in the game where the Gott statue works like a random one, because it's not part of the event... like the places you meet someone or fight a monster in the end.

ANYTHING that isn't part of the game itself, or isn't a Zeit area, or isn't an OVA keyword will have a regenerating Gott statue with a selection of items.

Well, Xu, at least you found keywords where it's one of the possibilities! So it's not like you have to keep searching random keywords, just keep going to those and eventually you'll get those Dantes again. Not too many keywords in Infection have it as a possibility.

Yeah. I'm not even sure if it's 1/5, that was just a rough estimate. Hell, it's even possible some have only three and some have as many as seven. Never really tested it much. I do know that I've gone for an item with keywords taken from a Gamefaqs guide, I didn't get the item, but after doing it several times I did. And I noticed some of them repeating themselves, with ABOUT five different items. I didn't even count.

I'm in search of some rare Items in Infection, and I was wondering if any of you knew any keywords that have rare Items or good weapons in the gott statue room. I'm level thirty, so there's not many areas in the game that I can't handle. ^_^
