How many got their copy of GU on Reserve!?!?

Dude, I got mine on reserve as of two weeks ago, fully paid for, and I'm now simply waiting for the phone call. Thus far, I'm actually the only one who has done a reservation on that game in particular, whereas FF Twelve has well over 50 reservations.

Oh, and there is like only like 14 days left till it's release (August 20th, 2006, I think). So yeah, if you're planning on a reserve copy, getting that reserve now is a good time.

Edit: I just checked a few sites and they said it comes out Oct.24/26,2OO6.

I got my info from my local EB Games Store. And I did say "August 20th, 2006, I think". Meaning I don't know for sure, but I know it comes out two to three days before Final Fantasy Twelve comes out. I know because I got that game also on reserve as well.

But there is a release date, I should know. I worked for EB Games and have friends that work there too. There is a release date.

Then you should know about how legitimate some of the release dates they say are. You the worker don't make the dates, the corporate's marketing deparment does and they only recieve an expected date. Often games get pushed back and you the worker get to make all the phone calls telling the consumer that their game is delayed or cancelled and to pick up their deposits.

But of couse you already know that right?

Yes, you're right. Maybe the date may not be official, but its still an expected date. Plus, the game should already be released in Japan, and if I'm right, it is.

Oh I've had mine on reserve for over a month, Baby! Ha ha ha ha ha! With the figure of course. As far as I've read, it doesn't come out until Oct. I hope that's right since if it comes out this month I don't think I'll have the money in my account to pay for it!

i put 60 bucks in an envolope for the game and the stratagy guide and i gave the list to my mom(you cant trust me with money >.> i'll spend it right away)

I'm confused. PSM said it was suppose to come out in October. And it is all ready out? Can someone explain how gaming magazines are screwing up the release date for .Hack//G.U. Resurrection?

Preamble:
Game website calls up Namco Bandai PR and asks for a release date. PR states "stfu, we ain't releasing it yet."

1. When all else fails, some game website lists a release date based on nothingness.
2. Another game website sees that a rival site has a release date listed.
3. Game website #2 lists that release date.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3.
5. Some game magazine writer googles .hack//G.U. rebirth release date... clicks on the first query result, and it gets entered in to the magazine.

It's an evil cycle. IGN had Rebirth listed as a December 2005 release once, among other things. There's basically no integrity on any of the websites and retailers release dates until Namco Bandai announces it. I've been in contact with Namco Bandai's PR, and they have stated there is no set day and month yet.
