Ahh.....one of my pet peeves...

I hate the fact that Hollywood goes and makes a movie about a historical tragedy that everyone knows the outcome. Titanic is the story about 1 person....and her love interest. Not much out of the ordinary of your typical love movie (except the sinking ship we're all so familiar with). It doesn't do justice for all those who died, simply as another "nameless" person, only credited as a dedication to those whom lost their lives. Titanic should've been named something else (seeing it was only based around 2 central characters, not the ship).

Even United 93...how the hell do the producers know what happened on the plane? They're just going off of black box recordings (and possibly some phone calls? Cell phones don't quite work well inside of an aircraft, at least mine looses signal as soon as I sit down). It's sickening to see movie producers make money off of these films where innocent people lost their lives due to forces beyond their control.

Next thing you know, Hollywood will make a movie about Katrina if things keep going at this rate...

I think the ship was one of the characters in the movie Titanic and I think it's acting was very good too.. I don't know if I will watch it again any time soon, but it was good for a mostly romantic movie. And of course, propeller guy was unforgetable! Image
