I'm sorry but I must completely disagree with you. I'm a Sony fan. But this year they died and tried to do whatever they could to get coverage. None of their games look that innovative. It's all a bunch of re-runs to me. Nintendo really did a great job this year. They came out with something revolutionary. Even if it is old technology. It'll be a change from the normal run of the mill gaming that we've had for the last few years. And it also allows for a new type of gameplay as well. It'll seem more interactive, in my opinion.

If it's old technology then how will it change the type of gameplay we are used to?

Doesn't matter to me, i think sony is doing just fine...probly not dieing just working on some better stuff that they couldn't release yet.

Because we never used it as the main controller. It's very different from the earlier controllers with just buttons. You move your controller a certain way and the game corresponds to that movement. It used to be buttons only. With Nintendo's Light Gun and their bazooka thingy for the SNES being the only changes. But even those weren't used that often.

Its been stated almost everywhere that Nintendo stole the show at E3, revealng numerous innovative styles of gameplay and boasting a massive line-up of future games. Its also the only game company that appears to be rethinking its marketing strategy and attempt to make itself more appealing to the casual gamer.

Besides, none of the PS2 or X-Box games featured interested me, but once I get my Wii, I'll be getting Twilight Princess for it.

nintendo all the way. Sony copied off Nintendos design and swtiched somewhat back to the norm controller instead of the "boomerang". But really if one were to look at Sony. They really dont have alot of Innovative stuff around. Most of it comes from Nintendo. I see in the next consol war...Nintendo will have hologram games. Itll leave everyone in the dust...

I dont think microsoft will last in the gaming world if they dont put their act together. Sony just ripped them a new one with their online capablities.

Nintendo was, by far, the best presenter, although even their conference wasn't the best I've ever seen; the Wii titles are still noticaebly buggy. Also, their 3rd-party line-up, for the most part, sucks. Whoever chooses Sony needs to be tied down to a chair and forced to watch Kaz Hirai's "Riiiiiiiiidge Racerrrrr!" episode over and over and the demo of the game based on "Japanese history," wherein you fight a "giant crab" and inflict "massive damage."

Please. Sony embarrassed themselves. After I was almost done getting over the hilarity of their conference, they bust out the PS3's price tag. It was one of the worst presentations I've ever seen.

Thats the PERFECT way to explain it. Believe me, i love the PS2 and grew up with the Nintendo series. But to put it simply, PS3 has been going all wrong. Heres a few reasons why i believe the Wii (Rather have the Revolution name, but oh well) will win this war.
A.)PS3-There Price range is redicilous.
B.)Wii-The Concept to Import any Nintendo game for a low or no price is great for nostalgia fans.
C.)Wii-Price is a solid 250, and will force the PS3 to either drop the price..or go for a miracle
D.)Controller-At first, I believed the Wii was crazy with the new controller idea...but then i began to think. This is actually innovative and amazing. If it wasn't wirelesss, it would nearly be impossible. The ability to use it as universally as a tennis racket, a gun (just like the old duck hunt with point and shoot), a sword. The list could go on.
E.)Microsoft-They wanted to hit the market early with the 360, but this is just like the DREAMCAST/PS2 War. Dreamcast came out early, and got some attention, but the PS2 came later with improvements and blew the competition from existence.

I could go on. Sorry Sony, but Nintendo beat you this time.

I would have to say both Sony and Nintendo, because they both actually got my attention when Microsoft only me fall asleep. I was pretty surprised at the price of the PS3, say things like "Sony you idiots, you just dug your own grave!!"

Then I got over when remembered I would have way more then enough money to even buy the $600 one and also the Wii (Still don't like the name but you start getting used to it.) I'm not getting the 360 because none of the games look as the Wii's or PS3's games. Either way I'm getting the PS3 no matter what the price, because the 360 has no purpose in this world!

IF you haven't, watch the 3 presentations and see which one is better.
My rankings go as:
1) Nintendo
2) Microsoft
3) Sony
Ya, that's right, even Microsoft's presentation was better. (if you tune out gates a bit :x )
Sony had nothing to really show, they only have 2 games completed for the PS3, and the hardware cutbacks (no price cutbacks) are makeing the system less and less magical in it's power. The Sony presentation was bland, Microsoft and Nintendo beat them by a fair bit. (grey slides with nothing but vague technical info and showing off their sales numbers = bad)
Sony showed off game titles that are still in the beggining stages, Microsoft had a good deal of working titles, and Nintendo... had many.
Sony was nothing but business, they're goal is to make money and control the market, not to make original ideal come to life or bring on something completely new. Sony for the first time ever... has stolen several ideas from 2 companys on a single console(nintendo and microsoft) to make their console better.
I'm not going to buy a PS3, I'm going to buy a DirectX 10 video card! (because it'll be cheaper then a PS3 and give me even better graphics)
Why do so many people hate the 360? It may not have many games... but most of them are really good. (the best titles are coming out in the 4th quarter)
Microsoft's presentation was boring... but then again, it was not really to entertain as much. And they showed off DX10 and some great titles.

i read a magazine (i think OPM) and they said they had it before Nintendo :o oh wow if they did have it so much why the heck didnt they use it? Instead they had spiderman written playstation 3, a boomerang controller and a 600 dollar price tag. Just goes to show like my friend said ""they shoot out 800 games and 100 of em are actually worth playing" Nintendo on the other hand. All their games are...they always end up on top. Just the way it is.

To this day there hasnt been a new way to swing a sword, nor to shoot a gun, not even to use a microphone...till the Wii controller came out. Now sony pops up with a half-assed ps2 controller with motion sensitivity? real nice

I like what Nintendo is doing. The controller looks weird and might take some time to get use to but I like how Nintendo is getting even more creative and trying to give the players a more feel for the game. I think Sony is copying Nintendo for the new generation controller.
