How is 3 and Wii?
As the title says I would like to know how the Playstation 3 and the Wii are. Any glitches? Is the motion controller (both) just a gimmick or a real advantage? How are the graphics? Is the PS3 really better than the 360? How is its online play? etc.
This has been discussed to death.
PS3: The graphics are next gen, depending on the game. I have yet to encounter a game that uses the its motion capabilities. It all depends on your preferance of gaming system. Online play is pretty solid.
Wii: The graphics are next gen, depending on the game. The motion controller is used in almost everything I've played, and really connects you to the game itself(you'll build up upper arm strength fo sho). Again, it all depends on your preferance. I haven't used online play yet.
NOW STFU ABOUT IT.

What about Resistance: Fall of Man? I heard that uses the motion sensor?Knight of Morgana wrote:This has been discussed to death.

Isn't that just for butting the end of your rifle into the opponent and shaking them off if they grab you? (the last one may have been call of duty wii though)wave killer wrote:What about Resistance: Fall of Man? I heard that uses the motion sensor?Knight of Morgana wrote:This has been discussed to death.

I guess. . . I only read reviews, and not really play the game. Still, it's one of the best games out right now. I heard it's even more fun then Halo!! (until Halo 3 comes out any way.)Akunaeru wrote:Isn't that just for butting the end of your rifle into the opponent and shaking them off if they grab you? Still if you want to have a PS3 game with full use of the tilt functions in the controller then I say Lair is your best bet.
I'm pretty sure gametrailers said that's the only use of the motion sensing function in Resistance.wave killer wrote:I guess. . . I only read reviews, and not really play the game. To what extent does Lair use it then? I've seen gameplay from warhawk, and the precision seemed non-existant. This isn't the case with Lair too i hope?
(Gears of War tops Halo 3 any day :D)

Lair uses the motion very well. I can only compare it to a steering wheel for a car, you use it mostly for flying on a dragon. If you want to make a sharp turn, then you tilt the controller forcefully to the direction you wish to go. If you want to attack an enemy, then you push the controller forward and your dragon will bite the other dragon in front of you.Akunaeru wrote:I'm pretty sure gametrailers said that's the only use of the motion sensing function in Resistance.

Pretty much the only time you need to use the analog stick is when you are on foot. What else would you expect from Faction 5?
If Sony continues the way it's going that won't be much of a problem.exile9013 wrote:The Wii is innovative and just amazing. Nintendo has made its way back into the market. The PS3 jsut kind of sucks. The 360 is good and microsoft is trying to get sony off the market. The Wii is just so fun and innovative. it's deffinitlly the better of the 3.
Within the next ten years one of these three major companies will fall off the gaming map.

It's to early in the ball game to call winners. Gears of War is a good game, but so is Resistence. Nintendo is making a good comeback, but Sony doesn't seem to in the loser circle just yet. The waiting list for the next shippment of PS3's is in the millions right now. So before you jump the gun, wait for another year and we'll see how each of the three do.exile9013 wrote:Sony had their good run with the PS2, but now Nintendo is making their come back. Microsoft came out with gears of wars which is their sony killer and soon sony will be gone.

Twilight Princess is for kids? It's rather dark in my opinion.Xiphias133 wrote:does it seem to anyone else that nintendo's recent systems are kind of built for kids? i mean they haven't really made very many games that have violence( save red steel) or am i just missing out on stuff?
The Wii has a wider range of games for all audiences this time.
I go for the Wii, though I MAY get a PS3 if they have good games and when they lower the price.

I plan to get all three systems. So I'll be the few to actually say which is better because I played them all.dothacker06 wrote:So, only a handful of people for the PS3. I thought that it was going to seriously beat the Wii. Do you guys even have both?
Nintendo has been know for it's child-like (but still kick ass) games. I heard there will be more M-rated games for the Wii, but if you ask me I think Nintendo is better off without them. Mainly because they're the safest from political people like Hilary Clinton. They are living examples that video games are not some work of evil destroying law and order but are fun and enjoyable.Xiphias133 wrote:does it seem to anyone else that nintendo's recent systems are kind of built for kids? i mean they haven't really made very many games that have violence( save red steel) or am i just missing out on stuff?
. . . . I still have my fingers crossed for RE5 on the Wii though.XD
PS3 wont rise until the price comes down, asking that much for a system is unfair. I rather get a computer than the PS3, people are generally dissing the PS3 because of the price. When the price comes down, the PS3 will rise.
It was a bad move on Sony part, putting a Blu-ray disc player in PS3? WTF for? This is what I feel is the general justification for the high price, Blu-ray is new technology which hardly anyone use yet so why use them now?
What your saying its alright to pay the massive price on the PS3 but you can get a combination of three systems Xbox 360 + Wii + DS for the around the same price see the fault in your statement?
