School from Hell

Post by KiteXX »

Nestled in the community known as Otaku Town, Otaku High is the worse school in the district - a dumping ground for the undesirables - poor performers, crackpots, thugs, pigpens, the cursed, teen supers, psychics, mages, androids, aliens, vampires, etc. If it can be found, it's found there.

It's so bad -
The local uniform shop offers a 15% discount on body armor, so necessary to surviving your first year.
The school ID card lists your blood type, med-alerts and if you're an organ donor.
The school nurse has a crash cart.
The basement is where most of the escaped science projects hide, feeding on each other - or worse, runoff from the cafeteria.
The hall monitors are full-auto and have a tiny tank so don't ever forget your hall pass.
The cafeteria was condemned after an outbreak of zombies.
The Koi Pond is home to a tiny godzilla - a genetic engineering science project that escaped.
Rod Sterling's ghost roams the hallways.
Detention includes solitary confinement.
The school is being run by the vice-principal because anyone they appoint to principal is usually smart enough to retire before actually stepping inside.

The only thing that makes this school stand out is its mecha program. Assuming the students haven't stolen the mechas to visit the mall. Again.

Why do you care? Because you've been appointed to the Student Council and are responsible for cleaning up the mess!

The main building is the three-story classroom building. First years are on the top floor, second years are on second floor and third years are on the ground floor.

You're sorted by how you did on your exams. The top performers go to the A class, the poor performers are in the F class. Everyone else is in the middle. The top two students from each year's class A are often in the "Special A" program. However, for Otaku High, that's not much.

Classrooms a-c are on the left, d-f on the right. With the exception of labs, home ec, gym and clubs, most of your time is spent in your homeroom. Assuming you actually make it to class.

The main entrance contains a locker area for students to trade their outside shoes for their inside shoes, to keep them from tracking dirt inside. (Very important as students take turns cleaning the classrooms).

On the other side is the school office where the two office ladies handle most of the administrative work. It's interesting to note that the office has bullet-proof glass. There are two offices - The Principal (very luxurious, currently unoccupied) and the Vice Principal (Functional and a little cramp, occupied by Mr. Namura). There is a door linking the two offices together.

There are also three other doors in the office. One leads to a tiny staff bathroom, one is a supply closet with weapons locker, and the third is a tiny kitchen (so handy for those student riots and reheating lunch).

On the right of the School Office is the School Nurse's office. On the left is a small freight elevator and the central staircase. The elevator contains a special card slot reader, purpose unknown.

In the main building there are three stairwells - one on each end and one in the middle.

(There's no way In hell I'm passing this up!!)

Name: Aelina Kiora
Race: Regenerator
Year: 2nd year, Class A
Skills:
Regeneration: Aelina's body rapidly recovers any and all non-fatal injuries. Always on.
Iron Defense: Can harden her skin and hair to become comparable to body armor for a short time.
Rebirth: Self-resurrects after dying as long as enough of her body remains intact.
Antidote: Nullifies poisons and infections including, but not limited to, Vampirism and Lycanthropy. Can be used at will, but auto-activates when Rebirth does.

Weapons: A Smallsword.
Major: Technology and Bio-chemistry
Appearance:
Image
Strengths: Very knowledgeable and surprising kind, despite everything that goes on around her and to her. Her powers make it nearly impossible to kill her and have her remain as such for any real length of time.
Weaknesses: She's fairly timid and shy and as such, she tends to just let others kill her instead of fighting back. She's not very strong or fast either, meaning chasing her down and/or overpowering her isn't very difficult for someone of above average strength or speed. She also still feels the pain of her injuries and deaths.

Bio: A timid, shy, and bookish young girl, Aelina was forced to come here after being shunned from her last school for her powers. However, it was only thanks to her powers that she managed to survive her first year at Otaku High as she was 'killed' no less then 2-4 times a day her first year as she was too timid to fight and too poor to buy the body armors the school sold. Now that that she's become a second year, Aelina has become well known... as a target for amusement since nothing done to her seems to remain permanently. She was appointed to the Student Council for her survival ability proven by being one of the only students to have survived being caught without a hall pass. Can usually be found in or near the Library when not in class or being killed in the halls somewhere.

Name: Jesabell
Race: Human
Year: Freshman
Skills: Craft(Absolutely anything and everything, rumor has it she even made a time machine, went back in time, and made herself !.!
Weapons: I'll list the major ones.
HecatonChain/Spear: A palm sized 20 sided die with two attack modes, one that simply lashes out with chains to grasp and bind up to nineteen things and the other shoots out spear tipped barbed-chains to do the same thing, albeit a bit more lethal. The die is apparently bigger on the inside given the length and number of chains.
Combustion Sticks: A box of matches, that when lit can cause an explosion ranging from small to large.
Shock Knife: Basically a knife with a built in taser, it can send out a short ranged pulse of electricity through a surface.
Force Glove: A glove that enhances her punches, giving them enough force to punch through steel. It can also be used to grab and strike the immaterial.
FlashLight: A flashlight that can flash rapidly, causing those exposed to begin convulsing. It can also emit a bright burst of light that blinds or overloads most people/optical receivers.
Calculator: It calculates, and also has a number of games on it. Ok, it's not really a weapon, or is it?
Omni Goggles: A pair of goggles with multiple settings and abilities, including the ability to read almost any written language. Alright, this one's not actually a weapon.
Gun/Caster Bullets: It's a gun that can fire magic bullets, causing a variety of effects.
Helper Bots: Tiny machines capable of cleaning and mending many things. They can create and use metallic threads to bind people and things.
Alchemical Vials: Vials meant to be thrown or shot with a sling, resulting in various effects.
ProClothes: Her clothes are surprisingly durable and protective.
Major: Undeclared
Appearance: http://i1.imageban.ru/out/2010/11/10/dc ... 10d550.jpg
Strengths: She has a piece of equipment for every situation.
Weaknesses: Standard human ones. An anti-magic field combined with an emp will rid her of the use of most of her equipment.
Bio: Jesabell has no last name, and as far as anybody can tell she has no parents. A woman she only knew as Guardian took care of her for a few years, when Jesabell asked why she was taking care of her Guardian stated that she was being paid to do it. One day Jesabell got home and Guardian wasn't there, on the table there was a vial filled with a luminous white liquid and a note with the information necessary for her to access a bank account. Jesabell took the money and started building things. She still doesn't know what the vial contains.

Name:Gray
Race:Human
Year:first/freshman
Skills:He actually has none besides him being INCREDIBLY LUCKY (displayed often)
Weapons:None yet
Major:undecided
Appearance:(Optional)
Strengths:His luck, and an inability to underestimate
Weaknesses:he can't run fast, he doesn't even have much stamina/endurance, normal human stuff, his luck sometimes etc...
Bio:He graduated at the top of his class even though he could only carry a B average. His parents got a brochure for the school and decided that since he "Qualified" for it, that it would be the perfect high school. The brochure had tons of images of cleanliness and good food and such, too bad nobody noticed it was made before the school was even created. So his mother totally aggreed. It is unknown whether his father knows anything of the school, or even saw the brochure.

Jesabell had been chasing another one of her science projects, it was the first day of school, and she'd already lost three of them. So she was stuck in the basement, she'd need to make herself a map at some point, for now she was thankful she had her trusty flashlight. She had hit her second dead end down here and decided to just say screw it. Jesabell loaded up a caster shell, covered her head with one arm, and fired. It blew a hole big enough for a couple of people up through the ceiling. "Ok, now let's just use you." A growl could be heard coming closer. She ignored it and instead focused on activating her HecatonSpear. A spiked chain shot up and she barely remembered to grab her flashlight before she got yanked up by the die. Hanging from the ceiling by one hand she tossed her flashlight to the floor and threw several vials at the gaping hole below her. They broke on contact and exploded into ice, sealing the hole. The chain retracted and she dropped down onto the ice, slipping and falling on her butt. "Ow, I really do need to get a map." "Yeah, humie, you really do." She looked up to see a half dozen people, none of them humans except for one guy pinned against a wall by a drake. "This doesn't look good." She pulled her tiny knife and raukous laughter erupted from the gang. She smiled and hit a button on the hilt before throwing it into the ground in the middle of them. Electricity shot through all of them, stunning them briefly and forcing the drake to let go of the unlucky kid. He looked like a freshman, like herself. "Run!" Jesabell shouted, grabbed the knife and her flashlight and ran a short distance down the hallway, waiting for the kid to get behind her before she activated the blinder function of her flashlight to slow them down even more before running after the kid.

Gray was frozen in place. What the hell is going on here? Beasts everywhere, monsters there weren't even stories about. Then, suddenly a hole burst forth from the ground, and a girl came flying out of it, with a super stun gun knife thing?! What the hell happened here?! He slid to the ground and stood at them in horror. "I think i'm going to be sick..."

The first day of a new year. For many, it was a new year of things to come. For a good number, such as herself, it was a return to familiar dangers and corridors, and for the unlucky, it was the last thing they would ever see. Aelina, on the other hand, was girl in her own category, as she couldn't really die but tended to be killed often or inadvertently tortured. Now was one of those times unfortunately, as she'd turned a corner to find herself quickly surrounded by a group of angry non-humans that had just recovered from Jesabell's blinder flash. The result found Aelina gagged and bound with her own long hair, hanging from a rafter in the hallway by a hair-noose around her neck as the group, now confirmed to be the Archery club, practiced on her. Not that she could feel the hits too much anymore as slowly lost consciousness. She expected to be cut down by the Hall Monitors to 'wake-up' in the nurse's office, as usual for her. But she didn't really have a moment for that as a badly aimed arrow was the last thing she saw.

"Great, but run now so that you can be sick later." Jesabell grabbed Gray's hand and drug him along. She ducked into the nurse's office, breathing heavily, "I think we lost them." She started laughing and hugged Gray. After a moment she pulled back, "Sorry, I'm Jesabell a first year. You?"

She patted him on the shoulder and pulled her bandana down to make breathing easier. "No no. I'm afraid it's all quite real. You're just lucky they were more interested in having fun with you than killing you, and that I happened to be passing by." She plopped down into a chair, chest still pumping rapidly from the sprint. "Cardio, you'll want to work on that. We're not exactly the majority here."

"Wow you're beautiful, er I mean, Yeah, Cardio, I'm all over that...." Gray often couldn't hold his immediate thoughts back, they seemed to drift into whatever conversation he was having no matter what, and as his face grew even pinker, he sat down and tried to hide his face by looking away.

"Burn baby burn! Disco inferno!" Áed said as he pointed the nozzle of his flamethrower at the hanging girl. "Chick chick boom!" He pulled the trigger and blasted her with flames, "Girls are so pretty, especially when they burn!" A hall-monitor approached him, but he shrugged it off by showing his hall pass. He approached his charred target and giggled as he poked her more sensitive parts. "Ooh she's soooooo cut-" and with that Áed fell asleep.

((Áed's not a pervert...no not at all.))

Name: Luca
Race: Demi-human: A human modified as a science experiment. He had a demonic arm grafted onto his missing right arm.

Year: 2nd year
Skills: Demonic Arm: The bone blade that extends from his demonic arm is his main skill. ALthough technically a weapon, he has mastered the use of this arm and the fact it grants him phenomenal physical strength. He's also become adept in using the blade that extends from said arm and practices striking down events that get too out of hand with it.

Ice Magic: He possesses ice magic that is formed and fired from is right palm. This magic drains his energy and can only be used two or three times a day, and can't do anything insanely flashly. Mostly just ice lances.

Weapons: A .33 caliber pistol he wears on his left side. It is loaded with blessed bullets that are effected against the undead and demons, but still inflict damage to humans.

Major: philosophy and ancient Religions.

Appearance: Image

Strengths: Thanks to his right arm and his gun, he's effective, or at least proficient, in combat. He's very knowledgeable about creatures and their biology.

Weaknesses: Aside from his right arm, his strength is little better than a normal human, so against more powerful races, his fighting capacity is heavily limited. His gun only carries ten bullets, and he only ever carries on extra clip on him, making his use of the gun somewhat difficult.

Bio: A science experiment, much to his chagrin, that wound up with the arm of a demon that had been killed earlier that day grafted onto the right arm he had lost fighting said demon. Although the STudent Council Member was out of commission for a few days, Luca did eventually take to his new strength. His eyes turned golden and he learned to control the arm and the blade that extended from it. He now uses that strength to punishes those who misbehave... violently.

(Opening post here: )

Luca sighed. He hated hall monitor duty. Still, it was a duty of the Student Council. Luca mumbled incoherently as he stopped and looked at a sleeping man with part of a mask and a girl he knew impaled with arrows, bound by her own hair, and now burnt to a crisp. "Well, this is clearly a new year," Luca said as his arm blade extended. WIth a snicker-snap, he cut her down and caught her. The blade retracted into his arm and he picked her up. "Poor Aelina... she's always getting bull crap like this... I'll make sure to keep a closer eye on her," he muttered as he leaned in and sniffed her. She was too crispy and bloody for him to enjoy her scent. He'd sat behind her in class the year before, but they had never spoken... outside of a single event in the Student Council.

"Well, let's get you to the nurse..." he muttered as he walked her towards the nurse's office. He knew she'd be fine.

Jesabell couldn't help but laugh, not intentionally at Gray, but it was just something that seemed so random. She crouched down in front of him and pulled his hands away. "You think I'm beautiful?" She pecked him on the cheek. "Thanks. Although I had nothing to do with that or maybe I did. There's some debate on that topic." She lied down on a bed, width wise, and looked up at the ceiling while she brought her breathing under control.

With that he blushed even redder, He had no eagerness to carry on with the embarrassment, though she was correct in assuming her heroism had influinced his opinion, no matter that it was wrong He had thought that the moment he saw her. only now was his thoughts catching up to him. "You never answered my question though...What were those things? What the hell is going on here?"

((That's not what she was talking about, but I suppose he could logically make that conclusion.))
Jesabell propped herself up on her elbows. "Those were upperclassmen. Well, not all of them are like that, but most are "unique" in some extraordinary way. If you're not extraordinary you probably won't survive your freshman year. This school's got dragons, demons, vampires, the odd android, and every other sort of supernatural thing you've ever heard of, and plenty that I'm sure you haven't. Even I'm not a normal human. Well, normal from your perspective probably. I'm an inventor." She sat up and pulled out a jar, when she unscrewed the lid a tiny mechanical spider climbed out onto her hand. "This is a Helper Bot. I've made him and bunches of other things. Helper Bot, go home." The spider climbed back into it's container and she screwed the lid shut, stashing it in a pouch. She pulled her goggles down over her eyes. "And these are my omni goggles, they have a number of settings and options. Oh, looks like we have some company." Jesabell pushed them on top of her head and hopped down to open the door for Luca. She popped her head out and cringed, she looked back to Gray. "You might not want to see this, but you should get used to the sight." She pulled her bandana back over her face and waited for Luca carrying the charred Aelina.

(thats what i meant....)

Gray almost lost his breakfast at that sight. How could someone do that to another living being? "And if i'm not 'Unique'? What then?" he asked as he turned his eyes away. He couldn't even fight, let alone run away. How would he survive?

Although it took a while, the hair-noose eventually loosened. Slowly, life returned to her ravaged body. She coughed hard, blood hitting the floor, as her slight, bound form shaking hard in his arm. It was hard to think from the arrow still piercing her left eye into her brain. She made a sound as if to speak as she continued to cough and regenerate herself.

Luca entered and nodded. "Yes, if you're faint of heart, newbies, I woudln't look," he said as he looked at Gray. "Oh, normal humans. I was like that before... this..." he said, showing his demonic arm. "Doesn't matter now. If you'll excuse me, new people," Luca stated as he walked onwards and to the Nurse. He sighed as the nurse looked over Aelina and asked him to leave. "I'm Luca, by the way. I"m a member of the Student Council Elimination Force. We kill problems and trouble-makers. You know that old saying, "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind?" Well, in our case, it's "kill them by shooting them in the head." Much easier that way," the silver haired man said with a smile.

Luca looked at the boy at his statement and laughed. "It happens to her all the time, sadly," he stated, sighing. "POor girl can't die, so she's picked on all the time. Well, I'mma protect her from here on out," he said, looking somewhat content. "After all, she needs a protector. I'll wait for her to get better and talk to her," he said, smiling.
