It was a brisk windy day on the moors. The Prince of Heart was walking about in his feilds. He owned many things, but never had a woman fallen in love with him. The Prince was an ugly thing.
But he was stricken with love for this particular maiden. She always stopped by his castle to smell the fresh flowers and listen to the songbirds. The Prince finally brought himself to her and asked for a date. She looked at his face scoffed and walked away.
This angered the Prince so much that he walked up to the woman and pulls the beauty right off her face. She doesn't notice at first and began her daily trip around town. she was laughed at and people dared not look at her. She noticed the princes trick and returned to him three times, each time with a different gift.
The first time she brings gold, the Prince rejects her, he had no need for gold. The second time she brought him food, the prince once again rejects her, he had all the best food in the world. The third time she brought her son and offered him up as sacrifice. The prince looked upon the woman with disdain. "You are so desperate you would trade life for beauty?" The man was sickened by her, he gave her her beauty back in order to allow himself peace away from the horrid woman. but left her with the one thing he said

Re: Guardian of the Heart, and the Maiden of the Soul, Edite
And he said to the horrid woman, "and you shall live without love or hate, without another being in Matrimony. SED LEX DURA LEX"((it means the law is hard but it is the law. I thought i should have put the original there for effect.))
The woman left feeling content, she was still young. She had no worries about marriage. Years passed and the prince grew beautiful as the woman began to grow old. She wished to settle down. But every time a man was about to commit to her, he became stricken with disease and passed on. She thought on the princes curse when she was young. She once again returned to the prince and demanded he reversed the curse that he had so wrongfully set upon her shoulders. The prince of course refused and had her forcefully removed from his castle.
She sat at home alone, her son had grown up and she was left without someone. She sent offering and prayed to Jupiter (Zeus) asking him to fix the curse and persecute the prince. Jupiter did as she asked, and more. He flipped the curse on to the prince. the prince may have been beautiful, but it might as well have not been so. Nobody acknowledged him as a partner.
The prince was furious with the Maiden now. He sent offering up to the king of the underworld and asked his opinion. He had hated Zeus after all, That night they hatched a plan.

Re: Guardian of the Heart, and the Maiden of the Soul, Edite
