'In my dream? But I...' Serenity looked confused at the way he talked about the dream. Though she was very concerned about what was going to happen, her mother's hand had not left her shoulder.

"We'll do what we always do. Run and hide until we find a place to hide for long enough again." Agatha's voice was precise. "It's simple enough."

"Why keep running? In the Caste I'm in, running isn't an option. Had things not changed for me, I would be dead within a year of a few moons ago. Still, I'd embraced that unfortunate part of my fate. IF you continue to run from fate... how can you ever know what you truly deserved?" Zorlo asked as he looked at Serenity. "Everyone has a design in existence. The goal becomes figuring out what it is," the man said as he looked at the top of the satellite. "I think I might have found mine... but I need to know if you wish to find yours," Zorlo said, looking at Serenity. He knew arguing with Agatha was wasted effort, but perhaps he could appeal to the girl instead... it was his only choice.

Sakura couldn't help but frown at the pitiful excuse for an outlaw that cowered in front of her. Her muscle returned to normal, he Ctarl-Ctarl unable to hold to anger as she reached down to pick him up by his collar. She could only listen to him babble fore so long. "QUIET!!" The roar made him freeze, afraid to speak. "Now then. I've decided not to snap your neck like a stick. I'm gonna go easy on you this once," she said to him, making the man almost smile. "I'm just gonna hit ya once!"

"...Wha-"

The man didn't get a change to finish as Sakura tossed him up and punched him in the chest. Her ears could hear the snapping of bone as she put the unfortunate outlaw through the wall of the ruined restaurant like a rock through a glass window. "And that's that." Task out of the way, Sakura paused to stretch before walking out to find Zorlo. It wouldn't be hard with such a distinctive smell.

"I don't know." Serenity spoke, her eyes lowering as she looked at the ground at her feet. "I hate being scared like this, always running and hoping that no one will find us. But... Mother believes it is right and I can't figure out why it's not." She looked towards Zorlo with an expression similar, but not completely that vulnerable expression she had shown in that dream. She truly was sick of always being scared and being hunted down. Yet, there was little else Agatha and herself could do.

Marco twitched. HIs entire body screamed out in pain... but this wasn't it. Even as consciousness tried to flee him, he pushed his body onwards to continue. He would NOT be bested like this. He pulled himself along slowly. He had to get back to his ship. THere was no way that these Outlaws were going to get away with this. None whatsoever!

"Come with me. I will protect you."

These were the words he spoke to her in that moment. Everything in the white-haired man told him this was right.

"You don't need to run alone anymore. Come with me and the people I'm with and we can protect one another. Running can't solve anything and it certainly doesn't change anything. There are times in life where fleeing something simply isn't an option, and this is one of them. If all you do is flee from one remote corner of the universe to another... you'll eventually be caught by someone who is after you. What will you do then?" he asked in a quiet, but decisive tone.

He went quiet for a moment as he collected his thoughts once more.

"Come with me, and there will always be someone to protect you two when our enemies come. It isn't such a bad deal, right?"

With a slight chuckle, Sakura waited for Zorlo to finished before turning the corner and walking up to the three of them. "I thought I smelled you three over here." She turned to Zorlo now. "Come on. We're getting the hell off this rock before something else decides to go ahead and happen. Not to mention that Space Forces are probably inbound from it level of disturbance and I have no intention of staying to answer questions," Sakura said to him as she looked at Serenity and Agatha. "You two need somewhere to go, right? You can come with us as well if you want to." With that, the Ctarl-Ctarl turned and walked away. "I just remember something I need to grab. You two have until I get back to the ship. If you're not there when I return, I ain't waiting for you," she finished as she turned a corner and smiled to herself. "Better get to saving them, Elf-boy..." she murmured and ran off to see about Ash's request.

Serenity's hand went out, seeming to wait for something. The hand that she had let out in the dream had reached out for something she didn't understand. It was shaking, but it was out there. Once he took it, she thought, maybe it would stop for a moment. Agatha's body was motionless, uncertain on what she should do. She would always keep Serenity safe. Did that mean trusting this young man with her daughter's safety? She stared at the hand her daughter had put out. She could see the fear in that shaking. She had always been a good mother to Serenity, but even now she began to wonder what she should do with a growing girl.

Zorlo's hand reached out and wrapped around her hand, holding it gently for a second as he smiled at her. "We should get going... I get the feeling the captain won't wait for us. She's kind of... eccentric?" he said, trying to figure out if that was the right word, but merely shrugging it off when he acknowledged the language had some odd terms, "but she saved me from an even more empty life on my planet. That, and it seems like we're a bunch of oddities, but you can learn about everyone else with me," the elf said as he pulled SErenity closer to him from the bench.

"But know one thing... even if it destroys me, I'll always protect you. I promise you this now upon my honor," he said, bowing his head to her before raising his eyes to meet hers. "Let us be off. I don't think staying here any longer is beneficial."

"We'll get the few necessities we can take with us." Agatha spoke, looking towards Serenity. "At this point, money, clothing, and probably a few pictures are all that we require." She spoke, her hands together as she began to walk again. "I'll meet up with you right here, so wait for about ten minutes. You know how fast I am at moving only the necessary things." Serenity didn't get to say a word as the woman left. The cafe wasn't far from here, so Agatha didn't even need five minutes to lock the doors.

Zorlo looked at Serenity and smiled at her. "Your mother is a good person... and I'm sorry... for putting you through this. I hope there is a day you can forgive me, but until that day I shall do my best to be as your shield," the white-haired elf said as he held her hand silently. He wasn't sure what it was about this girl, but he felt kinship. She clearly wasn't anything like him... but her spirit was very similar. Her air was very relaxing. She herself was lovely. Still, he wasn't sure what he would do for now for her, aside from show her to where the ship was.

"Hopefully the captain doesn't leave us... I doubt she will. I sense deep down... she's a very good person," he told her, smiling at Serenity. He was still surprised at how fast Agatha had changed her tune.

"Ok, we're going to skip the primary core ejection and restoration, much as I'd like to get that done something tells me we don't have the time. Finish work on patching the holes in the containment system, and make sure all of the panels and access slips are functional. I'll be right back." Ashley ducked into the ship long enough to grab the few things she had salvaged that had some value and squared up with the dock master. She also convinced him to part with a crate of foodstuffs, it was practically out of date, but she was little more than a beggar at the moment and with two ctarl-ctarl on board it was more about quantity than taste. Hopefully, Sakura will be able to line some work up soon. If they hadn't already seen her performing other feats of strength the maintenance team would have dropped their tools at the sight of her carrying the crate without the use of any equipment, as it was they slowed their work to rubberneck. The dock master, who had been getting ready to try and haggle something else out of Ashley for use of the forklift, dropped his keyring and fell into his chair.

Serenity was still holding tightly to Zorlo's hand as they approached the location of the dock. Agatha had one suitcase that held essential clothing, money and pictures that had constantly traveled with them. She looked up at the ship, assessing how sturdy it looked. "Quite a fix up you've performed." She commented, seeming to be cautious even now. Her eyes were not calm.

"I'm sorry, I'll let go of your hand in a few minutes." Serenity spoke, her eyes looking towards his face.

Zorlo smiled at the girl as he nodded. "If ever you feel scared, you can hold my hand, miss. Whatever makes you feel better," he told her, smiling as he shifted his eyes towards Ash. "Miss Ash, you've done a great job. I'm not entirely sure what you did to fix this thingy up, but I'm sure it'll fly just fine now!" the man said, smiling at her. "So, can we leave soon... I've found some more crewmates!" he told her, highly energized by what had happened.

"I need to do a proper overhaul." Ash sighed and pulled a hand down her face, leaving a nice smattering of grease on it. "Just because she's a little cleaner does not mean this hunk of junk is going to fly any better. She needs another week in dry dock, and at the very least a couple thousand in fresh parts, before I'd call her space worthy." "Hunk of junk is right." murmured one of the maintenance guys and he promptly found himself laid out on his back with a broken nose. "Don't you ever dare insult my baby like that! Somebody take this worthless excuse for a mechanic away before he bleeds on anything important." Ash set down her current tool and wiped most of the grease off her hands on her way to meet Zorlo's new friends. Hey, I know her. I used some of her work for one of my papers. Not one I did well on, but that hardly makes it stand out.

She smiled as she shook Agatha's hand and gave Serenity a nod of acknowledgment. "Ashley Daye, head engineer. Call me Ash. I hope you have some spices in there," she gestured to the suitcase, "otherwise it's going to be a race to see if you're going to get sick of or off the food first. It's a true pleasure meeting you, if you don't mind I have some questions about a couple of your papers, but they can wait until later." She kissed Agatha's hand and returned to work. Ash called over her shoulder, "Oh, and little one, unless you actually know what you're doing, stay out of my room. It's dangerous, for all of us."

Agatha seemed a bit surprised, but at the same time not. Certainly her work on the harmony between magic and technology had been quite famous. The projects she had worked on before had been able to be published without being too conspicuous. However, what papers would Ash want to ask about? If she asked about the papers concerning Serenity's creation, there could be little that would keep Ash from finding some interest in her daughter. Already she was being told by Zorlo that he was quite aware of her potential. "Perhaps I can do something of interest." Agatha spoke, handing Serenity the suit case. She went towards one of the men working and began talking. What she seemed to be giving made the guy sweat, quickly going to his supervisor and setting up what seemed to be a few more containers of food, water, and some spices. "There, much better to have more supplies than less." Serenity felt slightly nervous at her mother's smile.

"She must have blackmailed him finally."

Zorlo laughed at what the girl said to him when her mother returned. "I see. Your mother is quite a fascinating woman. When we need some help with convincing people of stuff, we now know who to ask," he told her with a smile. Already she was making his life slightly brighter. Still, there were other concerns on hand. "Ash, has the captain returned? If she has, has she informed you about the current situation on hand?" he asked her, moving closer to the ship.

"I"m not sure if she killed that man who threatened Miss Agatha and Miss Serenity or not, but if she didn't, then he'll be coming after us. He mentioned something about space and forces or some such. I think he was some sort of soldier. If so, we may want to... how you say... escape while the good is getting?" he asked, trying to figure out if that was the odd statement he had heard. "Anyway, my point stands," Zorlo said as he rushed onto the ship and look around. He entered the room where the pilot was and looked at him. "Sir Leo, has the Captain returned yet?" he asked him, looking around nervously. He wasn't quite sure why he felt anxious to return to space, but now... it seemed worthwhile.

"Oh? So you decided to come after all, huh?" Sakura asked as she walked up behind Serenity & Agatha, a shopping bag of clothing inside as she looked up at the ship. She whistled in amazement. "Ash, your hands must be as Divine as your body to have pulled a miracle like this. But I'm afraid You'll have to save the rest of the work for the next port. We should really be going!" Sakura said before pausing. "Oh! And I got want you wanted. It'll be in my Cabin. But for now, we good to start launch prep, Ash?" she asked, wanting to make sure that things were in place before she accidentally blew out something important in haste.

"Oh no, they're better." Ashley gave the contents of the bag a quick once over before looking up at Sakura with a smile. "You certainly know how to make a girl feel appreciated. I'll try those on later, but yeah we're good for take off Captain." She started to salute but stopped halfway through and gave her a kiss instead. She returned to the mechanics and slapped one on the back. "Ok, good work guys. I appreciate all of the help y'all gave me. Go have a smoke or whatever it is you were doing before I got here." The mechanics limped off, nursing their myriad of bruises from Ash's outbursts of both frustration and elation at their skills.

Ashley popped in on the bridge, "I'm not certain just how much improvement there will be in performance but it should be at least 20 percent. I'll be in engineering for the first hour of flight just in case there are any issues. So if you want to do anything crazy, do it within that time frame. After that, lunch and a hot shower." She stretched on her way to engineering, on the off chance something blew out.

ZOrlo heard the women speaking outside of the ship and his head peered out. "Captain, I don't wish to rush you, but I've got a bad feeling. WE should probably get going!" he said, smiling nervously as everyone got onto the ship. The mage couldn't shake the sense that something somewhat awful was coming, and as the ship full of pirates took off, his fears were vindicated.

A massive, blue and green ship adorned with four grappler arms faced down the colony. The colony was simply dwarfed by the massive ship that stared it down. Scanners in the ship hunted down one specific being. Enough twisting thumbs and slitting necks had gotten them what they were looking for. The Hundred and Eight sons had found what they were searching for. A thin man, resting his hand on a large sword next to him smiled. "Hunt them down! The colony is worthless now! Turn it into space debris and drag in that small ship! Deploy our Seekers!" he ordered as a powerful energy cannon from one of the arms tore the colony apart.

Zorlo watched in horror as he looked at the large ship. "We should run... as fast as we can," he stated nervously as he noticed the massive ship stop. "What the..."

From the bow of the ship opened and a smaller ship emerged. Wildly colored orange, red and white with a bow shaped like a drill and two grappler arms, the smaller ship began to deploy fighter ships to intercept and allow for the capture of the small pirate crew.

"INCOMING!" Zorlo called out as he used his powers to call his staff to his hand. "Captain... what's the procedure for this kind of thing?" he asked, having never been in space combat before.
