Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
"Alright. Thanks, Dear," Sakura replied to Ashley, chuckling as she listened to the continuation of Ashley's rant as she left for the engine room. "Such dedication... such passion... such a sweet tail...," the Ctarl-Ctarl murmured to herself before her stomach growled. "Right, I never did finish that this Zorlo wanted to kill. I'd go back, but it has to getting finished off by now." The Woman sighed as she leaned back in the chair. "Guess we should get to leaving soon before a Ctarl-Ctarl ship really does manage to find us. After all, a ship sank near here recently," she finished as she started the launch systems and began setting up for lift-off.

Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
Serenity turned around, her face looking different than before. She held a hand out, as if trying to call him over. "I have to find it, please... You have to help me before they find me." Her voice sounded soft a tear falling from her eyes as the scenery began to form a place outside of the dream. They stood in front of a small cafe with the name Simple Food on a few of the signs. It slowly moved out, showing a satellite, while Serenity's face kept that desperate plea in her eyes.
Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
Zorlo looked around as he reached out. "And perhaps through finding your purpose... I'll find mine!" he said their hands touched briefly before a powerful force pushed him back. Quickly, the area was pushed outwards, forcing the magic warrior outside of the area, then outside of the satellite, and finally back across the universe to where the ship was, showing him a line of magic between where he and the woman were.
The white-haired elf's eyes opened as he stood up and looked around. "Well, I can tell here where to go," the man said in his native language and smiled. He headed into the bridge and looked at the captain. "Miss Sakura, we need to head there!" he said, pointing at a small area on the map an area not terribly far away. "Let's head there... I can tell you something is there," he said, leaving out any important details or how or whys. "So, can we go?" he asked, smiling at the Ctarl Ctarl.

Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
Waking up slowly, Serenity looked up at the ceiling. "Mother?" She spoke, beginning to sit up as she heard something moving towards her door. The light turned on as Agatha looked at her with a smile. "What is it?"
"You were having a nightmare again, weren't you?" The woman sat down on the bed, pulling Serenity into a loose hug. "You should talk about things like that and they might go away."
"I don't remember what dream I had. I just felt really sad, like something bad might happen." She held her arms around her mother gently. "Do you think it's just a bad dream?"
"We'll hope for that." Agatha spoke, gently stroking her daughter's hair. "For now, let's get the cafe ready."

((Sorry, I've been busy with things. But don't worry, I'm not letting this die!))
Sakura chuckled to herself and leaned back. "Sure, why not? Take the controls, Leo," Sakura replied to him as she simply started assisting with the launch procedures. They were ready to take off when Zorlo entered with his requested destination. It got a luagh out of Sakura. "My, don't you sure like an excited school boy?" she looked at the place a moment, remembering why it was familiar, before shrugging. "Sure. We need to stop somewhere close anyway. Leo, you heard the man...elf...whatever. That Satellite's our first stop," she replied with a smile before looking back to Zorlo. "So then, what makes you wanna go there? I thought this was your first time leaving your planet?"

Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
Zorlo stared at the captain but didn't seem to say anything. The truth would be hard to explain, but he would he try. "I met a person within a dream world from that place when I was meditating just a moment ago. That person guided me as to where to go," Zorlo stated as he crossed his arms and nodded at her. He was fairly certain Sakura and Leo wouldn't understand, but what he had felt from that girl had made him... sad... Still, there was a lot he couldn't explain. After all, he had never wandered into anyones dreams before... at least without being invited... and even then, it was meditative state and not dreams.
So many questions and so few answers. The engines began to fire up and caused Zorlo to stumble some. He guessed this machine was moving now. The next question was... what was going to happen with this odd, metallic thing he was standing in.

Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
A loud explosion followed by an equally loud curse echoed from the engine room. All of the status lights went red in the cockpit and the ship shook violently. A minute later the status lights died, but the ship stopped shaking. Ashley, covered in fur and holding a lacerated arm, stood in the doorway to the bridge. "Not to worry, just a slight explosion in the warning systems which caused a cascade fail- Just ignore the fact that the warning lights are broke and fly. Captain, I'll be dressing this in your cabin before turning in." She turned, and looked over her shoulder tail swishing, "Don't hesitate to wake me." As she walked down the hall her animalistic features faded and she ducked into Sakrua's cabin. Ashley popped her head out a second later, "And don't any of you dare touch my machinery." Ash's injury was already healed from her beasting out so she just washed up and crawled into bed.

Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
"I see... Thanks Ash," Sakura replied to the report as she watched Ashley turn and walk away, her mind momentarily having the lecherous thought of wondering where the fur stopped. But that could wait till another time. "Leo, you already know our destination. I'll leave it to you. Zorlo, you & Leo can use the crew quarters to sleep if you're tired. I'm-" the cavernous rumbling of her stomach made her rethink her order of operations. "I'm gonna go eat something, then shower and maybe sleep. The bridge is yours," she finished before walking off.
Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
While the group traveled, Zorlo studied up on what he could of the cultures of the world. He needed to learn all he could to prevent himself from seeming too much like an outsider. It was still going to be hard, given the complexity of most of the cultures of the universe and their histories. Still, as he studied, it seemed like the crew was almost to the goal before he could assimilate much knowledge.
Finally, the docking procedures were initiated and the ship was attached to the dock. As the ship was being checked out by the pit-crews within the hangar, Zorlo stood up and grabbed the handle of his sword. The sword transformed into a decorative walking stick with a low-level transmutation spell, the only non-combat magic Zorlo had any level of talent with, and he headed out of the ship. As he exited, two of the pit crew stared at him for a moment.
"Hey, pointy ears! Your ship looks like sh*t!" the man yelled at Zorlo who stared at the man awkwardly and shrugged.
"I'm sorry?" the magical warrior responded as he started walking, his green and golden robes flowing with each step he took. "Leo, tell the others that I'm going to look around," the man stated as he headed out of the Space port and off into the Satellite to go look around. As he looked around, he noticed something important: this was indeed the place he had seen when he was being pushed out of the dreams of that other.
All he had to do was to get to that place... the building he had seen. For now, he would just get a good walk around.
On the other side of the satellite, a small ship from the SPace Forces landed. As a group of four men exited, they left the ship to be repaired and do their routine sweep of the satellite for criminals and other problems. Despite that, they hadn't seen or heard anything about the diner where a gray-haired girl and some old lady were. The two of them... the leader, a man with spiky blonde hair, had heard of this girl's beauty and wished to see it himself. After all, he'd never heard of a young girl with gray hair before. ANd especially one that most of the people en route had said was amazingly beautiful.
"Let's get going," Marco, the leader of the Outer Ring force of this area of the Space forces said as he and his men started off towards the diner as well.

Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
Despite Sakura's relentless distractions Ash had gotten some rest and she was eager to get to work when they made port. She rolled off the bunk and out from under Sakura's arm. "Hey, can you pick me up some clothes while you're off ship? I'm sure everybody else will be heartbroken when laundry day rolls around, but I'd really appreciate it."
A wrench flew from within the ship and struck the guy from the pit crew who had insulted the ship. "Come say that to my face, numbnuts." Ashley stormed out, grabbed him by the ear, and started barking orders at them. There was a lot to be done and she had no idea how long they would be docked.

Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
"One turkey club and space cola." Serenity spoke, putting down the items from the tray she held in one hand. "Is there anything else I can get you?" She had a gentle smile as she addressed the customer. The man smiled, winking lightly towards her.
"I'm sure I'm not going to get it." He spoke, chuckling a little as Agatha glared from her position. "You've got quite the gate keeper don't you?"
"Gate keeper?" She asked, looking a bit confused. "If you're talking about my mother, it's just nerves I hear." She answered, remembering what the doctor had told her. "Enjoy your meal."

Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
Zorlo walked through the streets as the people on the satellite's heads turned. He was dressed odd, even he knew this, but these were the only clothes he had. The man smiled as he found the building he was looking for and paused. "Should I head in there... or not?" he pondered to himself with a small smile. As the looked inside, he saw her... that gray haired girl. She was... lovely. No, perhaps lovely was an understatement, he realized now. She was radiant.
He wasn't sure if it was because they had shared a magical bond for a moment, or if he was just attracted to her. The elf paused as he started moving, perhaps against his will. He entered into the building and looked around quietly before ducking into a table. A number of mutters went up about his pointed ears and some guy named "Dr. Spock," but he had no idea what they were talking about. He waited nervously to see if this girl was the same... or if she remembered him from the dream. If not, he would leave and forget about it. There was no sense in wasting time on something pointless, right?

Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
"Welcome to Simple Foods." Serenity spoke as she approached the visitor. She removed a pad from the uniform apron she wore. She could vaguely remember that she felt like she met this person before. A part of her felt a sadness, as if she didn't want to remember why she thought she recognized this person. "Is there something you'd like to drink?"
Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
"Er..." he said, looking at her. The same spirit... the same resonance. Her magical resonance was the same. "PErhaps you could suggest something, madam," the white-haired man asked, smiling at her. "After all, I'm not from this part of the galaxy, so I'm not sure what people here enjoy," he said, looking into her eyes. "You have very strong eyes... but I sense sadness in them..." he whispered, loud enough so only she could hear. "So, what is your suggestion?" he asked, his magical energy flowing slightly more noticeably than before.

Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
Something inside her was getting stronger. It was hard to control and she tried her best not to lose her cool. Agatha's eyes narrowed on her daughter's shaky arm. She stood up slowly and approached Serenity, placing a hand to her shoulder. "The man on table three has not ordered his entree yet." She spoke gently, keeping a slightly stern tone. "I'll take care of this young man." Knowing the tone, Serenity did not argue with Agatha. She quickly followed the instructions her mother gave her. With her gone, the older woman looked at the visitor with a neutral expression. "Is there something you want other than our hospitality?"
Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
Zorlo looked at the woman, but remained silent. "Perhaps a glass of water and a chance to speak to you. I can tell from the way you treat that young lady that you're likely her watcher... er... parent... so I guess that means you're the person I should be talking to," the man said with a calm tone as the magical vibrations from his body vanished. "Still, I don't sense a drop of magical energy about you... so yes, some water and a chance to speak, please," the Dalish said as he kept his eyes fixed on Agatha.

Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
Agatha looked at him a moment. "In private, since you seem to be aware of something abnormal." She led Zorlo towards her private office, making sure someone was at the register. She placed a cup of water on the desk and went to sit behind the desk. "You should leave this place and never return. Serenity and I don't need people that know magic to interrupt the peace that we keep in a fragile yet stable fashion." Her face was no longer smiling as it was in the front.
Re: Beyond Outlaws and the Stars
Zorlo's eyes shifted as any kind of happiness drained out as annoyance filled them. "You're being foolish. You can't place magic into this magicless world and assume that nothing bad is going to happen. After all, this isn't he first time I've met that young woman out there... When I was leaving my home world with those people out there that landed on my home world, I connected with her. I saw her mind. I felt her pain and confusion. She's searching for something. I don't know anything about her... so I'm not sure what's going on. Either tell me or tell her... but you can't act like nothing is wrong. It's that kind of attitude that causes people to get hurt. That's how it always happened to my people when we became too proud of ourselves..." he told her, sighing.
